Shop itself inside packs some great tech and offers blazing fast free WiFi but that's not what I need from a fish and chip shop. Ordered a special fish supper and was slightly disappointed for the price I paid expected more. Fish portion was pretty small and compared to many I have purchased not a massive amount of chips either but was nicely cooked though not greasy.

Popped in on spec, daughterqanted battered sausage and chips, birthday treat. Quality excellent. Husband had haddock supper, said it was cooked perfectly. Fish is his job.

Incredibly disappointing. I'm not one to leave bad reviews as I would hate to impact a family business negatively but this was so bad I had to let you know.Ordered a large haddock and chips with a large "Irish" curry sauce. £9 for the fish supper and £2.35 for the curry sauce. A little expensive but if it's great then it's a nice treat for a Friday lunchtime. It was anything but great.A 15 minute wait outside the shop whilst they cooked it fresh. No major issues there but if you're in a hurry don't go here. The fish, as you can see from the picture, would not fall into the "large" category for me. Where I am from a "large fish supper" comprises of 2 large fish in the supper (and is around £2 cheaper too). Not one fish butterflied so it looks bigger. It tasted ok, not the freshest fish I've ever had but it was ok. The batter was crisp but fell to pieces when trying to eat it.The chips were simply awful. They were absolutely not freshly made and were clearly reheated. They were borderline chewy and completely tasteless. The majority of those are now in the bin of the local Tesco car park. I will never understand how a chip shop can get chips so badly wrong. The curry sauce was lovely and if this is made on site then kudos to you.All in all it was an overly expensive disaster of a fish supper, failing in every area. I'm in the area often but certainly won't be returning here for any future Friday treats. Must do better.

Regular haddock and chips. Haddock is award winning, and tasted like it too. I would have preferred a bit more fish to batter but still. The chips I have to say were average. They were quite dry despite me asking for vinegar.Service was friendly and the order took around 15 minutes, presumably because the fish is cooked fresh.I would visit again but hope not to be disappointed in the chips considering the quality of the haddock. Wasn’t overpriced.

We visited yesterday on the basis of the reviews - we are not local so do not know the menu but to say the young lady with the long dark hair who served me was rude and short as well as unwelcoming is an understatement! You work in the service industry!!! A polite and helpful answer would have sufficed! As opposed to the rude, short-tempered and abrupt answers you chose to give! The young lady with the piercings was very polite to my partner when he collected so 'Thank You' to you. The fish was beautifully cooked with a lovely well cooked thin batter although the chips were on the raw side! Not enormous portions but we prefer good quality over quantity! We won't be coming back on the basis of the young lady who needs some serious training in customer service!

Just had chips and peas this time and found the peas dumped on the chips without asking a little unnecessary. I would prefer them in a tub as just bunging them on top makes your chips soggy. I have to say that on previous visits I have found them to be faultless.

Really good chips! Love that the boxes and forks are recyclable as well. There is a slight step to get inside so it isn't accessible unless you can do a wheelie or walk. The till is also too high to use as a wheelchair user. It's very covid safe with the staff wearing masks and only one customer is allowed inside. You get a beeper to bring to your car that will make a noise and flash when your food is done so there is no waiting outside too.

Remains the best fish and chips I’ve eaten in my entire life. And there’s been quite a lot. Today, we travelled 50 miles out of our way to get lunch. Haddock and chips for me. Service is always good and the food has always been amazing. Same again today. We’ll be back.

Having a mini tour and saw this chippy open. This was one of the best fish and chips we've had in ages. Really light with the batter. Lovely!! Oh, and proper mushy peas, not the bullets you tend to get in Scotland. Easy service too. Once your order is taken you get given a buzzer which goes off when your food is ready to collect, piping hot.

No, I’m afraid not. Good service and clever professional Covid procedures. But when I was hamded my cod and chips the box was very small. Good food but really? Take a look at Yorkshire cod and chips and the actual size of fish and thick slices of cod. I’m afraid that we are paying £8 for not a great deal.
