Very many thanks to all the Piccola team for their excellent organisation on the occasion of our Anniversary lunch on 29 March. We were on holiday in Dumfries for our first anniversary and booked a table here for our celebratory dinner. It was a very enjoyable experience.Nice decor, friendly and attentive staff and delicious food. When I could taste nothing but lemon juice in my vodka Martini it was swappped for another without question. I really appreciated that.It's on the expensive side with the steak being around the £30 mark for example but well worth it if you are up for a treat.

This restaurant is a hidden Gem. Beautiful meal, excellent service. Pleasant relaxing surroundings. Will definitely be back.

If you're looking for somewhere for dinner in the area, stop looking - you've found it! Fantastic varied menu at reasonable prices. Quality of food was incredible. If you're a seafood fan you have to try the seafood linguine, the only thing that will dissapoint you is that no dinner will live up to its standards again! Hands down one of the best meals I've had, and finished off with the best home made sticky toffee pudding ever.Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. It's clearly very popular so would definitely recommend booking in advance. Enjoy!

It's fantastic to find such an excellent restaurant, not too far away from where we live, that offers a high class menu delivering high class food. Really good. The table service was akin to what you would find in an expensive city restaurant with one hand behind the back as food is served. Yes, the whole ambience is much more casual than city restaurants but, for me, little touches like that make a difference. It took us around 45 minutes to get there but, who cares? When you find somewhere 'that' good it's well worth the journey! The food was piping hot, very attractively displayed on the plate, and full of flavour. Prices, very good. Don't hesitate....

Recommended by our host to visit and was certainly not disappointed. Cheerful greeting on arrival and all staff were very pleasant when serving or clearing away. Good choice on the menu and served quickly and efficiently. Food was amazing, freshly prepared and very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed a lovely meal, the king prawns were the best I've ever had and my partner enjoyed the meatballs that just melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend this little restaurant was excellent.

We had a wonderful evening meal here after struggling to find any available Italian restaurants in the Dumfries area. My partner had Bruschetta with Parma, which was very tasty. He also had spaggheti with tiger prawns and tiramisu. I had olives to start, calzone pizza and tiramisu. Every single item was delicious and the beer and wine was very good too. Very reasonable price and lovely ambiance, despite Covid safety measures. Definitely recommend!
