What a beautiful hotel. Went to see the curling, fantastic. There's a bar overlooking the rink, it's higher than the rink giving good clear views of the action. The lady working in the bar was friendly and informative.

Rooms are simple but comfy and the hotel is full of character. For vegan stayers such as myself I was incredibly impressed with the food. Most places in Scotland, especially more out of the way places, have poor vegan options. This hotel had a different three course vegan food menu every night, and a vegan full English breakfast! And all delicious and reasonably priced. Recommend.

Room was OK..bit dated but warm and quiet. My only gripe really would be the level of service in the dining room as its in my opinion sub standard of a hotel of its caliber. We sat for a while browsing the menu and never got offered drinks, the waitress then came and asked if we were ready to order food and I had to ask for drinks for our table. Anyway drinks never arrived and id to ask another staff member if we could get some. Same later in the meal, not asked for more drinks or condiments. Not the end of the world but guest comfort comes first so perhaps a little training in guest needs would do good.

Lovely old fashioned hotel. Some of the older rooms have beautiful old fireplaces with copper canopays over the fires. It takes you back to the olden days. Which obviously catered for middle class and the wealthy..Evening meal was excellent well presented by dining room staff.Who carried out there duties in a professional manner.Breakfast was self service with your main course, served at your table. You can just imagine what it was like in the 1800s.

We come this Hotel every year with our curling club from Belgium and very much love our stay. Fabulous ice, great food, comfortable rooms and always a very warm welcome of the friendly staff. It feels like home for us.

The North West Castle Hotel is dated but serves all the requirements to have a comfortable stay. This is a disabled access hotel and appears all rooms have disabled facilities. The evening meal was of a high standard and a large meal for the price. Breakfast was order only and was excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Big bonus with this hotel...has two 22KW EV charging points in the carpark.By the way....it has its own curling rink!

Lovely stay, comfortable, huge bedroom & bathroom clean, a little dated could do with a make over. I didn't get the name of the night porter that checked me in but, he was great. The kitchen was closed by the time I got there but, the kind chap made me a great sambo with all the trimmings accompanied by a lovely pint of larger. Hats off to you and thanks for my take away breakfast too.

A lovely hotel that would clearly have been the place to stay in its heyday even if it is a bit dated now. The rooms are a good size. The beds are very firm. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help guests. It's a very handy place to stay for the ferry with a good takeaway breakfast and coffee provided if you leave before breakfast.

Took visitors to watch the curling. Engrossing even though we know little about curling. Bar food above expectations and reasonably priced. Very pleasant staff.
