The service station is located next to the A74 motorway and is accessed using motorway junction 16 in both the northbound and southbound directions. It is owned by Roadchef. The current site was opened in Easter 1995.

Several nice shops and food places to select food from.

Nicer services than most (on M6/M74). Not as big as some and can be busy, but relaxing to sit overlooking the large lake. We always stop here on our trips between Lancaster and Scotland.

These services have so much to offer - the usual shops, toilets, food and drink. Then there's a beautiful lake behind the services that took me by surprise. Perfect for people travelling with dogs or children. Picnic benches were also plentiful. It was extremely busy when we were travelling so we didn't stay long inside but enjoyed the scenery outside

This service area is in the right place for a rest stop on the way North into Scotland. The staff have been consistently helpful on every occasion I have visited. This was again the case during my latest visit. The service area was very clean and the 1 way system in place for COVID-19 purposes works very well.The toilet area was spotless as was the rest of the service area.The outside areas were clear of debris.

As service stations go this is one of the better places to stop. Toilet facilities are well posted. Easy access when southbound, exit routes are slow. The bonus is the outside area overlooking the water.

Nice place to stop off on the motorway. Very clean, good choice of different meals and snacks available. Nice walk around the lake to stretch your legs before getting back on the motorway

Beautiful landscaping to the rear so you can enjoy your break in a lovely setting. Costa coffee and McDonald's were open with a one way system, shields and social distancing. Felt quite comfortable

Good facilities, nice selection of shops. Especially pleased to see the signs saying that they would lower their mask behind the barrier if you were having trouble hearing and relied on lip reading. So great to see that kind of accessibility for deaf/Deaf/hard of hearing people.
