I love coming here. It's always warm, both the welcome and the temperature and just a really comfortable place to visit. The food is lovely too. I've had many things from scones & sandwiches to cake & scottish breakfasts and enjoyed them all.Best cafe in town (and there are some very good others too)

From the outside this place doesn't have a particularly appealing look. However, dont let that put you off, ths place is a wee gem. Dropped in for a light lunch and opted for soup and a sandwich... and later was tempted by the banoffee pie. Promptly served, the soup was homemade like your mother used to make and sandwich was freshly made and well filled. Lots of options on types of bread as well as fillings. Also lots of main course options for those with a bigger appetite. Fast friendly service. Back to that Banoffee pie....brilliant, although I did do a 6 mile walk later as an appropriate penance🙂

This is the second time that I have had lunch here. The tomato soup was excellent and the banoffi pie was really delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, the service was really great, even though the cafe was packed.I will certainly be back again

Called in for a quick lunch and was warmly greeted and quickly shown to a table. Service was quick, food plentiful and all washed down by some excellent coffee. The icing on the cake, no pin intended, was the home made Apple pie. It was like something your granny made when you were wee. Absolutely amazing. Great spot and lovely staff. Will visit again.
