Nice food, friendly service, and reasonably priced. I couldn’t sit any longer once we were finished our food though. Due to the smell from the fryer we were gasping for fresh air and needed a change of clothes when we got back home. Unfortunately I think that’ll put us off visiting again.

Popped into the Belfry for a snack today, food was very nice and well presented, bit of a wait till it came but the place was very busy, and staff did apologize, will definitely return, well done ladies you were all run off your feet .

Great café, good choice of food which was a bit more varied than some. Service was great too.

·

Unassuming cafe that's popular with (what seemed like) every local retired chap in town.Good value tasty breakfasts. Ok coffee.Lots of track and trace. Not much mask wearing - (Following response from owner - I was referring to customers!).

·

Pleasant cafe with friendly, welcoming staff. Good selection of home-made food, perfect for a light lunch and with reasonable prices.

On first sight nice looking wee café! Young lad that served us was lovely but unfortunately I couldn't rise the slightest smile from any of the other staff ! We went for lunch very over priced and no atmosphere at all! I noticed that none of the staff wiped the tables let alone disinfecting them before new customers sat down to eat this was abit concerning in these unsure times! Food was terrible! As there was no ventilation in the place I smelled greasy all day had to shower once I got home! Will definitely not beback!

Great little café in the heart of Kirkcudbright.Good range of hot and cold drinks and well prepared wholesome food at a decent price. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's not a huge place, we arrived just before lunch and it filled up almost instantly - but there is a fairly fast turnover of customers. Seats inside and out

Had high expectations of The Belfry based on reading other reviews. We were sadly disappointed though when we chose to have breakfast there. The food was adequate and served hot but the square sausage and black pudding were dry and tasteless. The haggis was nice though.Wouldn't go back again though

Good food "Served with a smile and a bit of cheek" Friendly staff. Reasonably priced menu. And no raw onion in the side salad, always a bonus!

A great wee place, the staff are so friendly and the food is brilliant . My husband order the Big Belfry breakfast which is huge!
