The Boardwalk in Dumfries & Galloway

Popped in yesterday & was told there was no food. When asked if food would be served tomorrow, the girl at the counter said she didn't know! The place looks dirty. In need of a good clean. Very unimpressed!

Sadly I can't comment on the quality of the fish and chips, though having read some of the reviews below and and the oily splashes on the counter, I think the surly staff member may have saved me! Walked in at 18.06 to order some supper only to be told the the kitchen closed at 18.00. When I pointed out that the menu I had collected earlier in the day stated that they closed at 18.30 the girl behind the counter stated that she and the chef had decided to close early as the owner was away.

Ate here yesterday.Sat outside as we had dogs with us.Friendly, helpful staff.Lovely food, I had homemade pizza, my husband had the gourmet burger with lovely crispy chips.Biscuits for the dogs.We will be backThank you

Disgusting. I was in with my granddaughter. Fish batter overcooked. Fish fingers frazzled couldn't b eaten. Chips were hard with burnt brown ones through. Steer clear of here never again

Ate here today it was lovely. Simple and cheap. Food was great and ice-cream was the best I've had in Portpatrick would definitely recommend you check it out if your in the area and need a quick and cheap tasty lunch

Bought a meal today at boardwalk ,worth £68 ,worst meal ever,could not eat the pakora,chips were like scraps,

Decent ice cream and service was good. Reasonable prices and stocked a few beach bits. Could be doing with a wee spruce up inside!

Thought this would be the perfect place to enjoy fish and chips. Bitterly disappointed, fish tasted like the oil it was cooked In was off.Service or should I say lack off was rude to say the least. In my opinion stay well clear. Can still feel and taste grease in my mouth 5 hours later DISGUSTING

Food nice but the young girl with dark hair serving was extremely rude and unhelpful both days we visited. Customer service training is definitely required for her. Other staff were lovely
