Had dinner here. Staff are lovely, professional & attentive. Food was great although starter portions are a tad small for the price. Overall we all enjoyed and will be go back.

Excellent couple of nights stay. Lovely room. All staff friendly and very helpful. Only drawback were the lorries driving through at odd hours during the night.

Our fourth visit to BQA. Good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, no exceptions - Lisa worthy of special mention. Meals for all tastes. Excellent cooked breakfast. Braithwaite room warm and cosy.

To start off, the website states "dog friendly" so as you do when it says. Is bring the dog (tiny one at that). Staff came over "aw you are a lovely little dog, would you like a bowl of water?". Bowl of water arrives to be told oh the dog cant be in here, we have other places for dogs. Which was about 5 meters away from where i was sitting in a separate room full of other people (i dont know any of these and anyone could just of took him)no thanks il just drive him back to the hotel. Was told he could go in the back bar. This is the pub side itself. Nope, anyone could just walk in and lift him. So 20 mile round trip again 🙄. Its either dog friendly or its not, simple as that. Service was exceptionally slow, orders hadn't even been took by the time i got back. There was a special order for allergy warning. Staff didnt know what was in what. Starter for one came with the wrong sauce. A main course came (burger)it was red enough i swear you could of done CPR on it and it would of jumped up. To top it off asked do we want cocktails. Yes please, small cocktail list. Only 2 that was to the peoples fancy. Staff came through to state that she didn't know how to make one and then didn't have the mixtures for it. (Stated on the list). Staff kept apologising for the trouble cause. Not all the staff are to blame, staff were very nice however management should be helping the people "on the ground" that make them the money, ie updating websites to keep people upto date on services As much as the food was nice, wont be back 😒

Beautiful Family Deluxe Room, Service was excellent and Amy was a star, nothing was too much for her. She is a hardworking and great asset to the hotel. Food was very tasty and breakfast was very good and generous. Young lady at the bar was very efficient and friendly. Felt at home and slept very well. Will thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service from start to finish by every staff member. Very friendly and polite. Warm and welcoming. We were kindly upgraded to a suite which was well presented, clean and comfortable. First time in a long time we can honestly say we will come back. Thank you 😁

We stopped here for a meal on our way from North Shields to Kilmarnock and boy what a gem. I wish we could’ve stayed the night. I just knew from when they answered on the phone that it was going to be a cracking place with the warmest welcome. They didn’t disappoint! The food was fantastic and they also had a local real ale on tap. Marvellous. It’s now on my list. I will definitely make sure I go again when I’m next passing by.
