The Cressfield Hotel in Dumfries & Galloway

Another excellent function at the Cressfield, food was really tasty and staff were very warm and friendly. Room was looking really nice and fresh with the new lighter colours.

Very good size rooms. Food good. We stay in bedroom 2. Bathroom lock didn't work. As per our 1st visit staff 5*. Dog friendly too.

Had a very comfortable night in this hotel on a journey north Clean room, nice bed and good facilities. Had a nice dinner in the bar area, the Haggis Scotch Egg was very tasty.A good breakfast and then I was set for my journey Would heartily recommend, stayed again 23rd Dec and same experience - wonderful

Traditional country Hotel, easy to find, wonderful views. Good sized, comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. Service is excellent, all staff in the hotel are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The only criticism I have is insufficient shelves to put toiletries on in the en suite, but that is minor.

Fantastic Hotel!We stayed for one night to break up our journey from Scotland to England.Staff were amazing, couldn’t do more for us and very accommodating for our Dog!Will definitely stay again next time we pass.

Have stayed four times now at The Cressfield whilst visiting family. This hotel is excellent value for money. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. Food is very good and breakfast has powered me back home to Yorkshire every time 💪. Nigel and his staff are welcoming and friendly. Would you stay here again ? Definitely!!!!

Just had a lovely night in this hotel with my partner and the hosts where so welcoming and polite! The staff are second to none! The room was at great standard and the surrounding area is beautiful x We will definitely return xx

Photos don't do it justice. Good place to break the journey from London to the Highands. Dinner and breakfast very good. Plenty of parking - felt secure. Nice view across a little valley. The bar and dining room were nice big rooms. Lively atmosphere. Room was big, good bed, everything spotless. Staff were lovely.

We live just a five minute walk from the hotel, the view is still beautiful framed from the lovely dining room. The staff are friendly and efficient , and the food exemplary. Doesn't break the bank either for such amazing standards. Will be becoming a regular

Great overnight stop on way up to visit relatives in Scotland. Clean, calm and really friendly staff. Good menu choices for adults and kids. Great to see a thriving local business bounce back after the challenges of COVID and its effect on hospitality
