Wow, what a hidden gem.Came here after being served their sour dough warm in Mr Pooks Kitchen on the hight street.Bought the most delicious Rosemary Focaccia, bakes cheese cake, lemon tart and lamb sausage roll type of thing. They also serve local coffee and have a selection of deli style products.

My favourite bakery in Dumfries & Galloway. It’s named as one of Europe’s best bakeries. The bread and pastries are amazing.

Mostly wheelchair accessible. The entrance is nice and wide and the till is low enough to use but the isles are rather tight so watch out.The people are friendly and really helpful and the cake and baked goods are amazing (the chocolate cake especially)Overall 4 stars because the isles are slightly too small to get through easily in a wheelchair but the rest of the shop is really good.

Love this place - top quality breads, savory quiches and pies, sweet cakes and on Friday nights take away pizza

I really want to eat more

Lots of nice foodie bits in the deli section (fab smoked almonds!) plus fresh milk refills. We got pizzas on a Friday night, the bases were excellent and the toppings plentiful!

A magical little spot tucked away in Castle Douglas. Lots to choose from - breads, pastry and savoury bakes. All wonderful and freshly baked. The cinnamon danish made our morning 💚 fresh milk and great coffee too. Worth a visit if you like really good baking!

Brilliantly rustic bakery, fresh bread, cakes, pastries with a variety or different fillings that change daily. Also a variety of snacks and fine foods. Also a good selection off take out hot drinks, very friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit....

This bakery is a great addition to Castle Douglas! The staff are friendly and helpful, the place is spacious with an indoor sitting area at the side and the food is awesome. Come early for the freshly baked bread and they do run out pretty quickly too! They also serve delicious quiche, cakes, pizza slices etc with hot and cold drinks. Tried the quiche and plum cake and definite thumbs up. There is also a small area selling items like marmalade, chili jams, etc. Decor of the cafe is a bit quirky.. not quite homely/cosy but it's nice and clean. Definitely worth a visit!
