The Jade Palace in Dumfries & Galloway

Driving all around Scotland I stop at many takeaways. Never have a thought of reviewing any because I enjoyed it so much. Curry sauce was beautiful, it was sweet but spicy. The gentleman on the door was the nicest guy.

Great takeaway food, wish that the ceiling would get fixed as no eating in food for a few years.

Reheated food. Prawn toast looked like it was microwaved, the lettuce it came with looked like it had been dragged off the floor and placed in with them.My spare ribs where definitely reheated as well, never had any as bad.If I could add pics I would.Very very disappointed.

Due to covid they were only serving take aways, called ahead to order to save long wait sitting the car, but food as good as ever.

This place has went downhill if you ask me. Most of the meals are generic thrown together ones, nothing special.Frozen veg from Aldi seems to be getting used in their dishes rather than fresh.Their Spicy chips are the worst I've tried.I'm sure they do have some nice stuff on the menu but I won't be buying anything from there unless all the other Chinese takeaways in CD are closed.

Not the best Chinese I've had, was quite disappointed. The portion size wasn't great, very small. The chips weren't too bad, with the small amount I was given. the curry sauce was absolutely awful, tasted like duck sauce! Shame really as you guys were recommended!!

A nice place inside but I had a take away. Food quality was pretty good. I would eat from there again.

Very very poor take away, stupidly enough that's the third time they have sold me re_cooked food, silly me for going back. This time was sweet and sour pork which had 2 obvious batter coatings on it, was rock hard.

Had the set meal for 3. Flavoursome meal at a very reasonable price. More than enough food and drinks at good price. Staff cheerful and polite. Was reluctant to try it given some of the other reviews but the good reviews seem to out weigh the bad so we gave the Jade Palace the benefit of the doubt. Pleased we did and would recommend it and we call in again next time we are in Scotland :-)

Just wow, few Chinese places get it just right, this is definitely 1 of them. I would be going there again on mt next trip to the Galloway. I am looking forward to seeing the friendly members of staff as well as the amazing food. I wanted to take more home but I ate so much I was full. Decent portions and excellent dessert menus as well.If there is anything you want recommendations the staff members would be more than happy to explain and help you out. Well done ✔
