We were camping nearby and drove past the pub/restaurant. Dog friendly, ate dinner in the bar area, fire was on. Food is absolutely amazing. They were very busy but still accommodated us, very friendly staff would definitely visit again on our travels

We ate and drank aplenty. Delicious menu. Delicious ale and cider. Stylish restaurant serving beautifully presented tasty and imaginative food. The separate wet bar enjoys local and visiting patronage alike and folk are very welcoming and friendly. Even had a dog bed with biscuit for pooch at dinner. Delightful.

Went to the Steam Packet with our young baby daughter and we were catered for superbly, our table was all prepared with high chair already in place. The staff were very pleasant with smiling faces enjoying their jobs which projected onto the customers.Food was absolutely fantastic for instance I had the Lamb which was so succulent and tender with seasonal vegetables also done to perfection. We have been coming to the local area for 5 years now and frequented the Steam Packet each time and it has never disappointed

Very good friendly service. Immaculately clean and great wood burner keeping it cosy. Beautiful views of the harbour. Outside seating and parking along the front of the harbour. Thank you.

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve at the Steampacket. The staff were still up and working at 3am. The special 5 course dinner was excellent, as was the service. The staff went out of their way to look after us. The room was attractive, big and comfortable. We look forward to our next visit.

Really nice meal, and would say you get good value for what you pay, much better than standard pub food. Friendly staff and excellent beer brewed on site.Location is also very picturesque.

Second visit this year. Smashing location and lovely area to sit outside by the harbour to have a drink. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Staff friendly and attentive despite being busy. Had a question about the room charges and the manager promptly answered it. Room was small but clean and comfortable.Only disappointment was the price of the room which we booked through booking.com. When we arrived it became clear there was a significant increase in the rate we had paid over what the hotel would have charged if we had booked direct, 30%extra. Raised this with booking.com under their "no hidden charges" statement but they weren't interested.

Fantastic food in a gorgeous setting. Try the Chowder and the Fish n Chips. Delicious! Great service and they make their own beer. Another must try. And ask for the locally made Crafty Gin. We ate here several times during our stay and will definitely be back. Book a table because they are busy!
