Tigh Na Mara Hotel in Dumfries & Galloway

Staying here this week on my first trip to this part of the country. Rooms are very comfortable and recently upgraded. Food is excellent and a hearty breakfast is included in the room price. Staff very friendly and helpful also dog friendly.

We used Tig-to-go takeaway using the preorder website a few times during our holiday nearby and it was fantastic, really took the pressure off cooking but offered relaxed dining in our cottage. Delicious, freshly cooked, high-quality and very generous portions. Highly recommend

Fabulous Mac & Cheese for my vegetarian option and my partner had the steak pie, which he said was excellent, packed with beef! Lovely starters and drinks. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient. Will come again.

The staff was very friendly . Our room was cosy and clean. The food was excellent. Definitely stay there again.

Lovely (if a bit expensive) weekend spent here. Nice room with a view of Luce Bay. Food on both nights was exceptional &the staff efficient & friendly. A good start to my husbands forthcoming " big" birthday.

Stop by for Lunch the choice was excellent Neil was most acomadting with timming he has a great knowledge of the wines . Vicky look after us and was most attentive all said and done excellent dinning experience with great quality food . I suggest if you are passing give it a try it's reasonable priced

Stopped here on a January bicycle tour, we were camping nearby. They were very welcoming to 2 frozen, soaked and muddy cyclists with hot chocolates and pretty big portions for dinner. Came back for breakfast in the morning which was also a delight. Friendly staff all round. Even kind enough to allow us to dry some of our kit out on a heater over night.Would recommend anyone passing by pops in.

Absolutely amazing meal tonight. Steak pie was beautiful but the macaroni was to die for.... I mean, THE best best I've ever tasted....ever!Premises were immaculate and very welcoming as were the staff. Bonus is that's its pet friendly in the bar area and beer garden (where we ate) which has overhead heaters at each table.Just a lovely 5* visit :)

The staff are absolutely lovely, and the food was godly! Our dog was a bit nervous since he's just a puppy and the staff were very understanding about it, bought him some water and a thick slice of beef as a snack. Overall 10/10 in terms of customer service and the food itself. If you're in the area, I DEFINITELY recommend that you come here for lunch!
