The location is great, food is tasty and cheap when you've next to nothing, the multi beverage maker is very efficient and staff are welcoming. The old thing I will say about this place is that is needing a complete revamp, I could see mold at the ceiling, it's a shame as it's such an iconic building bin Dumfries. Toilets are sparkling clean and no horrible smell.

Just popped in for a bite to eat and a couple of beers with my mates, service was very good as usual and place was spot less. For me it was a better experience now that covid restrictions have gone.

Great place, lovely and quiet, friendly staff, good food, photo for the Wethers carpet spotters!

I know i’ve put one star but if i had the option it would 0! It was a terrible experience, i ordered a chicken burger and a vile clear liquid came shooting out and was dripping for 10 seconds minimum, may i add it also made a puddle in my plate and which made my chips soggy. During this time I was trying to prevent throwing up all over the table. So no I don’t recommend and i certainly don’t recommend buying a burger from here! x

Lunch. 2 meals ordered. Macaroni cheese and lasagne. The macaroni had the appearance of the Kraft box stuff with a little cheese mixed in to change it just enough. and the "British beef" lasagne contained pork and tasted akin to something that was scraped off the side of the road 3 days prior. The garlic bread seemed to be a week old flatbread which had been in the vicinity of some garlic butter at some point then warmed through with a hairdryer.

It’s a Spoons, so the food is good and the beer is keenly priced. Been in a couple of times recently ( the price of beer draws you in…) and they are doing their best to combat the dreaded COVID, but sadly the place is just not as clean as it should be…Grubby marks on upholstery, splash marks up the walls and food on the floor…sticky tables, the list goes on…staff shortages perhaps, but this place needs to try harder….Please do, I want to keep going in!

popped in for a quick meal off the street from a freezing walk around Dumfries. The building and interior dcor are very nice and welcoming. It was lovely and warm. The table had not beeen wiped but the staff were fast and friendly and the food was nice - although it's obviously the 'spoons limited pub grub so if you don't like burgers and a few currries then you don't have as much choice as you used to at 'spoons. They were out of steaks too so we plumped for two curries. They arrived very quickly and were nice Not much more to be said. It was very easy on the wallet and an OK experience...

Another fabulous building to turn into a pub, well done Tim. However, Your food needs attention! The presentation was okay and the plate was warm which is good but the gourmet burger was luke warm as were the chips. Now I understand you get what you pay for but surely there is room for improvement.

On a sunny lunch time, we thought let's see how this spoons is going to be like as we knew what type of service to expect. We were pleasantly surprised when we had a quick and efficient service, used the app to order, very easy, greeted at the door with polite staff.Only let down was the mug that I was given for the bottomless hot drinks, was stained and cutlery need re washing.I enjoyed the food and potions did not dissapoint,Almost a perfect score.., keep scrubbing them utensils (or get a better dish washer / service your current one)

Quick service. All orders are done online or through the app due to covid. Hardly had to wait at all for our food and the pizza was by far the best on the menu. Also free refills on hot drinks 😁
