Caddon View Restaurant in Scottish Borders

We spent a lovely night here. The host was very welcoming, the room was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. What more can you ask? We would have no hesitation in recommending the guest house to any of our friends or family.

It's a nice historic building, comfortable and clean with a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Only issues I had was a really poor shower in my room and a very dirty remote control for the TV.My room was comfortable and very nicely put together, if a touch small, however just one of me so was perfectly suitable.

Fantastic hospitality and breakfast. Lovely, warm friendly atmosphere. The whole place was amazing, we loved our room! Would 100% stay here again. Thanks!

Visited for The Festive Afternoon Tea. I lovely experience. Excellent home baked cakes scones sausage rolls mince pies and chocolate log. The trifle was delicious and the choice of Chestnut soup or Mulled wine as a starter was inspired. All this served in a beautiful room in front of a roaring log fire. Amazing and the staff were excellent too

I had the downstairs single room. After 10 days walking, wild camping & staying in a few bothied this was luxury. Really kind owner who took my stinking wet socks & boots and put them above the boiler to dry out. Nice room & excellent Scottish breakfast. Well looked-after by all the staff. Very friendly. Top lounge, conservatory & garden too. Thanks.

Stayed here for 1 night on 15th August. Lovely, friendly welcome and we were given an upgrade due to us booking direct which was a lovely surprise. Room was amazing, very clean and bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. Would definetly recommend staying her, you won't regret it!

Stayed a night on a mountain bike weekend. Accommodation and service was excellent, breakfast was lovely too. We promise to remember to clean our bikes next time before bringing them to the store room but thanks for the loan of the hosepipe !!!

18th June. Stayed at Caddon View as a half way point before travelling further north for an annual trip. Beautiful building with very clean rooms. Accommodating owners who stored by partners bike over night which was a great help. Delicious breakfast with views in the garden. Will 100% be booking for next year and making it a tradition stay.

Spent four nights during October with a few friends and despite the COVID-19 related restrictions Steve, our host, did an admirable job looking after us - keeping us well fed and watered. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival by Steve - accommodation is simple but comfortable.

Really lovely, accommodating owners, beautiful rooms and hotel and the most comfortable bed ever! Stunning area and a bus ride from Edinburgh, must stay longer next time.
