Menus on tables but had to order before taking a seat, seemed a bit of an odd thing to do as made it difficult to order. Food nice though and quick service. Good service

Stopped for breakfast on our trip to Scotland.I ordered a bumper for just over £8 and tbh it was more of a normal breakfast.Bit pricey for what you get on the plate . I’ve definitely had bigger at a lesser price. In fairness it tasted ok and was hot.Wasn’t impressed with seating arrangements. The place was very quiet. My wife chose to sit on table one (6 seater) as it was in window and sunny too so a bit warmer. Told we had to move to table two as there was only 3 of us. In the shade and definitely colder part of the cafe.I kept checking for the coach trip but it never arrived 😏I think it’s one of those places you visit but wouldn’t rush back.

Very friendly staff and a great value menu. Only thing for me is the salt, way too much salt added to the food. I’m not a fussy eater, but the last 4 times I have eaten there the food was way too salty. You can always add but cannot take away. Other than that great place.

Excellent breakfast loads of choice and good service. Clean toilets and not too far from the A1, with plenty of parking. Well worth a stop for a cuppa.

Would be amazing if they opened really early for breakfasts, but the Cedar Cafe is such a handy stopping spot both for locals and for traffic passing on the A1, the food is great, the portions are decent and the staff are friendly. The facilities are always clean and their prices are really good value too.

We stopped at this cafe on Wednesday 16 March. I had the Scotch broth soup it was warming tasty and very enjoyable, husband had the Bacon Sandwich. We both commented on the cleanly of the toilets and felt very safe with the precauctionthey had taken against Covid

Food was good if a little pricey. £9 for pie and veg however add a bottle of pop and shoots up to £11.50 so £2.50 for a 500ml bottle is some mark up. Also. You want need to add salt to your food.....

Been here twice in the space of 3 months. The food is good, and there is seating outside and a small shelter where you can take your dogs if you want. Prices are reasonable, service friendly and quick. Good selection of cakes and traybakes too.

Cedar cafe looking at the food not bad But to pay £1.00 for 2 slices off bread what a rip off when you can get a full loaf off bread cheaper then £1.50 for tea as well as the breakfast so a £7.00 breakfast all off a sudden it's gone to £9.50 why not put the tea/coffee with the meal and don't do tinned tomatoes really bacon is really salty
