The service was very good as was the food, there was a nice choice, the staff were friendly, what more could you ask for.

First class service from all the staff. The food was amazing. And the lager was perfect. Clearly a very well run and maintained place. So quiet at night too.

They let me watch the penultimate grand prix. Had a great Christmas supper with non alcoholic pale ale and refreshing cider so I could drive home after. I had 3 meals at the Clovenfords in December and will be back soon.

We had a good lunch here just taking a chance. Service and food were really quality and we felt welcomed. Interesting rugby mementos. Worth a visit.

Ive stayed at this wonderful hotel fir 18 days for work commitments and i can happily say its one best hotels ive ever stayed at the staff are very approachable and helpful and went out there way to make my stay as pleasureable as possible i would highly recommend to anyone to stay there 10/10 service very professional and run by a lovely family

Stayed here for 3 nights, we had a very comfortable double room the bed was the most comfortable ever! Room was clean and everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was great, meals were delicious, the fish and chips were to die for! one of the best I’ve had, fish was fresh and very meaty.Hubby had the steak which was cooked to perfection!It was an excellent base to visit Edinburgh, on recommendation from a staff member we parked at tweed bank which was a 15 min drive away, there was free ample parking and the trains ran every hour.The staff were friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again, owners a doing a fab job, keep it up!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clovenfords Hotel. The owners and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful new comfy bed and a large fan in our room which was great as it was very humid during our stay. The food was excellent, a huge breakfast available, cooked to our individual taste, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meals. All in all a very pleasant stay at a very reasonable rate. We will certainly stay there again.

Lovely little hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. I booked a twin room by mistake but was offered the double room upon arrival. The meal we had was really fresh and tasty with very generous portion sizes! Highly recommended
