Food was incredible! Went for a beautiful birthday lunch right next to a large open fire.the lunch menu had a wonderful assortment of not your usual beige pub lunches….the evening menu is our next plan! A wonderful cosy place. Amazing service food and beverages AND to top it off there was a little book shop to peruse attached next door with some fantastic art!Thank you again and hopefully see you soon!

This is a great place to stop off for a bite to eat and a cuppa. Loads of tasty items on the menu and very friendly, helpful staff.

An awesome night out, great food. I had spaghetti carbonara to start followed by the seafood platter. All washed down with Heather Ale.

As per the comment made on 13th February by I like to watch! I think you should have listened to the woman who has a name Linda what was said to you regarding the Sunday lunch menu. There is an extensive cafe menu and Sunday lunch needs to be booked to make sure you get the roast you want as it sells fast. By the way just to walk out and say nothing was disrespectful. Feel free to send me a message as you obviously have nothing better to do but to give bad reviews.

What a gem, pass this by at your peril. We stopped for Sunday lunch and it was a cornucopia of home cooked delish courses; wholesome and filling and exceptionally well priced.

Well what a fabulous little find on our trip to Newcastleton, one of the best little Bistros we've had the pleasure of eating in during our Caravan holidays, food was amazing on all of our visits this week, beautiful food, well presented and detailed descriptions of food on the menu, I had the scallops and black pudding for a starter which was cooked to perfection, followed by King prawn and Monk fish Thai green curry, beautifully cooked!Fabulous find, very friendly owners and waiting staff, excellent service! We will be back to see you soon! Oh and very dog friendly, nothing was too much trouble.X

Excellent food large portions and quiet surroundings, with good friendly service. Book in advance and it doesn't get much better in rural area.Sunday roast beef is to die for cooked perfectly. After COVID lockdown open again if anything better than ever, Lamb Sunday dinner perfect. Weekday food as good as weekends, just remember to book.😁

Excellent locally run bistro with local produce. Visited for a couple of days had breakfast one day and Sunday lunch the next. Excellent fresh and portion sizes to easily satisfy. Visited both pubs also for food on our visit but this place blew both out of the water. Not cheap, it's not a cafe, but really good value for the quality and size. She sources her meats from as far away as 20 feet across the road to the local butchers and you can tell. Will be back when we are back in the area.
