Eastgate Theatre Peebles in Scottish Borders

Had the half and half, wild mushroom soup and bacon sandwich with cheese and chilli, side of chunky triple cooked chips. Tasted lovely and excellent value at £10.

Interesting menu with a wide range of veggie options. All the dishes we tried were great, with standouts being the parmesan custard with smoked potato and the mushroom and barley risotto. Well priced for the quality of food and service.

Mixed messages. We asked for the eggy bread without the bacon, being vegetarian and could the bacon be replaced with mushroom. Were told by waiter that mushroom was unavailable, even though elsewhere on the menu.We went along with the option anyway and were surprised to find mushroom on the plate! Rather contradictory. Dish itself was tasty if a bit salty. Rest of our experience pretty good, other interactions with staff positive. Can only guess waiter was new and/or chef had a change of heart re mushrooms.Will consider returning but more vegetarian options please.

The best food we've ever eaten, hands down. Reasonably priced for the quality. Recommend.

Really excellent food. Popped in for lunch and had some great sharing dishes, the agreed favourite was the tempura broccoli. Staff were lovely, COVID safety great, definitely go!

Ate here while on holiday to Peebles. Best meal out we had. We ordered all the vegetarian choices and a couple fish ones and shared them, great way to eat. Food was really very yummy. Oh and the puddings are devine. Service is really tip top too. So glad we visited Osso and if back in Peebles will definitely book in again. Thanks for a great last night of our holiday, you made it special.

Phenomenal! The dishes were truly delicious, even ones we thought would have been just ok because they were potatoe or cauliflower were AMAZING!!4 dishes between 2 people are a medium meal. Very happy with this place, staff were really friendly.Lots of gluten free dishes available
