Loved the room they allocated us with a riverside view. The early breakfast was good especially since we were off to Wallaceneuk parkrun which is a few minutes away. Good private parking. A nice choice

Myself and my husband went for a weekend break we will definitely be back. The hotel was lovely when we arrived we were told that our room had been upgraded. It was huge with a claw foot bath in the room and a separate toilet and shower. The on site restaurant was so nice the food was delicious and the staff were so welcoming and happy to help with anything.

Stayed here for 4 days. Lovely old style hotel. With lovely plaster reliefs on some of the ceilings in the original parts of the house. Staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly and welcoming a real asset to the establishment. We dined in the restaurant every night. The food was extraordinarily good bearing in mind this is an AA 3 star hotel. The meals were well presented and delicious. The desserts were to die for. Highly recommend a visit here. When coming to Kelso we ALWAYS call in here for tea and a freshly made scone or lunch by the fire. Some rooms are a little bit dated but all adds to the charm of this place. I often sit for hours with lunch and coffees after shopping whether it be with Hubby or my best friend. It is particularly pretty at Christmas.

Popped in for light lunch to find my party treated as persona non grata. Lovely lounge area except with the Mary Celeste effect thrown in for nothing.

We stayed 13th November.I took my elderly mother to Kelso for her birthday and stayed at Ednam house hotel. She was thrilled with the room, the hotel and the staff as was i. I would say bar area could be a little more inviting and cosy but still fine. But i have to say that the cooked breakfast i had the next morning was the best breakfast i've ever had at any hotel,it had everything you could think of and cooked/presented to perfection. Varieties of fruit etc for continental breakfast was vast too. I would definitely return. Thanks to all at the hotel😊A.Brown

Lovely hotel was at a wedding, only one problem disabled access to wedding and reception room was very difficult for my disabled mother as the steps down from the bar area where very steep they could do either a hand rail down the middle of them. But every this else was fabulous .

Great location with a very warm and friendly staff with great dinner! My family stayed for one night here and we very much enjoyed it. The location is set in a very charming town, and the setting on the river is absolutely stunning. The lady at the front desk were very welcoming upon reception, the dinner was excellent and the bartender was a blast – couldn‘t have asked for better service at dinner. We brought two young children and they felt very welcomed here. NOTE: duck is highly recommended choice of plates. Even though we never got our breakfast after a one hour wait, I’m still giving this a 5 star rating since I recognize that there is significant stress and demands on the hospitality industry – mistakes happen, and we were just happy to be out and about.
