Firebrick Brasserie in Scottish Borders

Lovely place food was good but I did feel it was slightly over priced. Cocktails were delicious as were the snacks, beetroot hummus was divine.

A wonderful lunch creatively prepared by Chef David Haetzman.

We were the first customer five minutes after they opened and when we ordered we were told that they only had one portion of duphenous but they then came back and said that was wrong and they had two. My scallop starter was only two scallops! When the lamb arrived the potato was grossly under cooked. Chef should be ashamed.

Lovely food, great attention to detail nothing to much trouble

Booked for an evening meal on 29th August. Staff very friendly on phone when taking booking.Food was amazing. We both had the starter of scallops with bacon and peas. I went onto have the roe deer main course, with black pudding, beetroot and a few vegetables I can't remember. My partner had the mixed fish dish. We then went on to have their mini-desserts. We shared a bottle of South African red wine with the meal.All the food was of amazing standard, the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. All in all it was a brilliant evening. Definitely recommended!

One of the best meals out I have ever had! And I don't think it is just because I haven't been in a real live restaurant for months. The food was outstanding and the service delightful. Thank you so much and we'll be back.

Amazing food as always. Eaten here many times now and Ive never had one single bad thing to say about it. Staff are always lovely, great service and the food is absolutley phenomenal. Highly recommended people to give it a try, you will not be dissapointed x
