What an amazing find, fantastic quality of food and very nicely presented. Staff were also faultless, most friendly and welcoming. And the pies were out of this world according to my chef hubby.

Superb wee cafe, shop and gallery - make sure you explore it's a lot bigger than you'd think and full of surprises!

Fabulous place to visit. Two visits in one weekend! Welcomed by very friendly efficient staff. Lovely warm atmosphere. Had lovely home made soup & sandwiches with a lovely salad served with superb dressing. Cakes are also amazing. Gallery has so many beautiful things - shop beautifully laid out with lots of unusual things to buy. Thoroughly recommend.

Can't fault our visit to the Flat Cat. The dining area was comfortable with beautifully crafted tables and chairs, the menu had plenty to chose from, the staff were polite and helpful. There is also the art gallery and shop to browse. I thoroughly recommend Flat Cat for a visit.

So so lovely! We had coffee (excellent), cake (delicious), and sandwiches (so scrumptious) with a really great salad. Everything tasted extremely fresh. The paintings, little shop, and tiny secondhand book store in the back added to the general comfy feeling. Special shoutout to the staff who were so friendly and welcoming. When we mentioned we'd had an awkward lengthy walk to Lauder, they immediately offered to give us very helpful directions and advised us on a much nicer, scenic walk we could take. Thanks!

A real find on the A68! Lovely coffee, freshly made cakes and sandwiches with children’s options too. The gallery and shop is also good to browse around, worth a visit.
