Michael and his son were extremely friendly hosts and couldn’t do enough for my wife and I. Our twin room with en suite was exceptionally clean and there were some nice little touches in the room such as bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities. Furthermore there were hand sanitisers and masks throughout the hotel which would have put bigger hotels to shame. Michael also gave us a special deal and the price was unbelievable. We originally booked for two nights but liked the hotel so much that we stayed an extra night. This family run hotel deserves to do well and I would recommend it.

We've just had a short break staying at Heatherlie House Hotel in Selkirk. This is a lovely hotel. The owners were very welcoming and could not have been more attentive. The hotel is only a short walk from town and restaurants so no need to take the car. Fabulous.

Where to begin..This beautiful family owned manor house set back in it's own grounds..The amazing, pleasant and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive..The bed that's like laying in a field of candy floss and cotton..The beautifully decorated rooms..Did I mention how amazing the hosts are.. Michael, Sonny and Joslin.The second to none hospitality..Nothing was to much to ask for..We asked if there are any nice walks in the area.. the result of this ended in us being provided with two bicycles, (tyre pressure and safety checked) also raincoats and helmet, water and free refreshments for along the way, oh and the offer of a lift back if we had cycled to far or got lost..I have stayed in many hotels and country manors in my time but to be absolutely truthful here.. never have I experienced a level of hospitality and honest generosity as we did here..Rave reviews, can't wait to return 😁

Stayed overnight, would recommend this place for a relaxing stay, pleasant atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and comfortable.

Nice place to stay, in need of updating but is clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely could not ask for better service. Nothing is to much trouble.

Loved the place verry freindly atmosphere we stayed with work for two weeks staff are great and the landlady is dam fine Will deffo go back at some point

We enjoyed four wonderful nights at the Heatherlie House Hotel as we visited the Scottish Borders and hope to revisit next summer! The home is charming and is quietly tucked off the road in the quaint town of Selkirk. The owners were warm, gracious and welcoming. We enjoyed wonderful Scottish breakfasts,great dinners and quiet nights! Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we loved waking up to the birds singing in the morning. The pub was a welcome addition after fun days of touring! We loved our time and are so thankful we found such a special place with wonderful people.

The warmest of welcomes by a St Bernard, the new owners and three hilarious children, a truly family run establishment, a clean, spacious and comfortable bedroom overlooked by no-one but the birds in the trees, the menu choice was well varied and could be eaten in the bar or restaurant... I am hoping to become a regular guest so they will squeeze me in whenever I'm in the area.. Good luck for the future !!!
