Hunters Stables in Scottish Borders

Lovely food and quick service. Staff were friendly and attentive although they were quite busy. We were travelling up north and didn’t know where to stop for dinner and bumped into this restaurant almost by mistake. Now I think we will be stopping again!

Would definitely recommend, I got a vegetarian pasta and my partner got a pizza, both very fresh and arrived quickly. Price is very fair, we paid £31 for 2 Drinks and our mains, with one side of chips. Would go back if we go back to the area.

Being slightly hidden away adds to the charm. In a beautiful old village is a modern place to eat a predominantly Italian menu. Professional and friendly staff keen on wine recommendations. Worth travelling for.

Food and service good. Not impressed by waiter shouting very loudly at a young member of staff who, from our observations was very hard working. The whole restaurant went quiet and the young lad was very embarrassed. Very unprofessional.

An exceptional meal and great place to stop in after a weekend walk. Excellent family restaurant with lovely staff. Will recommend to all my Borders family!

First time visiting here. What a lovely little restaurant. Very nicely decorated, bright and airy.Staff were extremely friendly. Table service was good. Food was lovely. Just thought it was a bit expensive for a lunch. Would be better having a lunch time menu as the menu/prices same as in evening. Will definitely go again.

As a native New Yorker, I consider myself a pizza expert, and this is the best pizza I’ve had in nine years in the UK. (I was slightly chastised over my pizza expertise by the Italian waiter, but that’s a whole ‘nother tale.) The crust — which makes or breaks a pizza — *chef’s kiss*

Lovely Birthday lunch for Teela at Hunters Stables today ...excellent food, staff service , and surroundings .. will definitely be back.. Booked for Xmas lunch also 👍🍷🍽

Great food, a mix of traditional and Italian, a good wine selection and very friendly staff. Affordable prices. Pizza is amazing and you can get a metre of pizza too! Take away also available.
