Jedburgh Tandoori in Scottish Borders

Came here for a quick bite on our way back from Edinburgh. As services are limited on the A68 we had already dec8we were going to stop here. This was our first visit to this restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would eat here again.

Spent 6 days doing the NC 500 and made Jedburgh the last night stop before home, having eaten lots of 'full Scottish' breakfasts and pub meals I really fancied something different and 'boom! ` perfect finish to a 2000 mile trip.Poppadoms and pickles, onion bhaji and prawn puri followed by a mixed meat Jalfrezi, chicken tikha masala, mushroom rice and garlic naan, could not fault a thing, even the young girl serving was fantastic, at 59 years old I've eaten at many many Indian restaurants and this is with the top 3 👌🏻I will definitely be back when I'm this way again!

Staying in the town overnight. We enjoyed a lovely meal here. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. The girl working was amazing. Thank you.

Excellent fresh food, not too oily. We had a selection of vegan side dishes, coconut rice and chapattis, with chana chaat and onion bhajis to start. Really great and very clean. And friendly service too. Highly recommended.

Do not order from here! 14 quid for the food on my plate. Bout 4 pieces of lamb. Took an hour and 20 mins from phoning up to collect it! Dad lives in jedburgh I live in manchester worst Indian not just value of food but service also!! Not to mention the £4 mushroom rice which comes served as a kids portion

Firstly I’d like to thank the Forrester’s Arms who were full - because there was no choice (Bank Holiday Monday) we reluctantly booked at the Taj Tandoori and to our delight we could not be more pleased with the delicious meal we had. Lovely and fresh. Very tasty. In spite of the fact they were very short staffed the service was friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic meal with brilliant service. Had a meal here for my father in laws birthday and the food was amazing and the service was too. Highly recommend.

Tried to order over a well known app. Stated they delivered to Hawick. Got a call 20 minutes later stating they wouldn’t deliver and the man speaking the background of the waitress sounded very rude.

Don't like to leave bad reviews but they accepted my order and then cancelled it about an hour later as they 'claimed' they didn't have a delivery driver! I was only about a 10 min walk away but they had an offer on their app that was cheaper to get it delivered!How about give me call to see if I could walk down or at the very least explain to me the issues by phone? You put me back an hour on sorting food out and I had a very grumpy hungry child.A very poor experience
