Mansfield House Hotel in Scottish Borders

We missed the main course, but arrived in time for the cheese board & tiramasu mmm. The cheese board was very nice but the tiramasu was divine! The staff were very helpful and tentative. The others at the table had the Italian style cheesecake but they were not impressed with the biscuit base - it was like pastry but it didn't work. A good night held by all.

What a beautiful place and such a good price. Stunning grounds, lovely, friendly and caring staff and a great atmosphere all round. Me and my pooch Aurora stayed overnight and had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and clean, shower was hot and everyone was so pleasant. I can't wait to come back to such a friendly place.

Mansfield House is a beautiful building set on the hills above Hawick. Such a setting demands memorable standards and every part of our visit met or exceeded those standards. A very beautiful decor - an amazingly large menu - unseen but obviously a high quality kitchen - and of course a welcoming and knowledgeable service. We loved our visit and will certainly be back.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely clean and comfortable room. My tip, turn the radiator down and maybe keep a shutter open through the night, we woke up through the night too hot. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept on. My only negative was that I could hear the people above due to the creaky old floors and staircase that ran behind the bed in our room however this happens in older buildings and there's not a lot can be done about this unfortunately. The decor throughout the hotel is a great talking point, so much to take in. I really enjoyed my stay, I just wished the weather had been better so I could explore the grounds.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful hospitality, food and loveliest comfortable room. Nice coffee machine in room. Definitely go back. The setting is beautiful!

I've been to the Mansfield House Hotel many times so when we had friends visiting I thought what better place to go than here, we were a party of 5 and everyone found the food delicious and the deserts even better. We will definitely be coming back here and the next time our visitors come they want to go here again. Thank you to the friendly & helpful staff for making it so enjoyable.

We as 6 lads on our motorbikes booked this hotel on the Internet. Oh wow 👏.. After the stunning drive up to the front door through gorgeous grounds we were welcomed by a very polite lady and shown to our rooms . She said nothing about the way we looked in our gear after a long and wet ride getting to the hotel . The rooms were stunning, clean and had everything you needed to have a very relaxing stay . The staff were all very polite and more than willing to make your stay a good one . The food !!! Well that was even better . I fully recommend this hotel with the 5 stars given . I wish I could give more to be honest . This is a place will be taking my wife back to .

We really enjoyed our meal here. Gorgeous setting with stunning decor. The staff are above and beyond welcoming, the food was great and very good value. The little pathways with flowers in the gardens were great to explore. Will definitely go again.

We had a great visit to this character hotel in great grounds in early July 21.. We arrived completely saturated and there was a wedding on, but we got fantastic personal service throughout. The bikes were sorted and we had a great evening with very good food and drink.
