A lovely cute tearoom about a 2 minute drive off the A68.Freshly brewed coffee, tea and refreshing cold soft drinks, not forgetting the delicious cakes and traybakes 🤤.Price range is very very resonable. It also has some lovely riverside walks, quite hilly but that would help burn off those calories after having coffee and cake. Will be back!A must visit for walkers around leaderfoot or travellers who just want a quick coffee before heading back out on the road.

Quaint tearooms with cakes, scones, locally produced jams, honey etc. Lovely antique showrooms to browse. The woodland walks are the real draw for me

Our walking party was looking forward to calling in here for well-earned refreshments and a comfort break. Checked online to confirm it was open before we set off and were hugely disappointed to be greeted by a 'closed today for repairs' sign. Understandably, the ladies were then frantically asking where the nearest toilets might be (not near, as it happens).Ten seconds for the proprietors to post a message on Facebook or their website was surely not too much to ask.Very disappointed.

A small tearoom but with some sheltered outside seating. Friendly staff. Good coffee and a good choice of light snacks and cakes. Ideal after a little walk around Old Melrose grounds.

Off the beaten track but worth it.. A few minutes drive from the main road initially through forest along a narrow road (with passing places), bear left onto gravel when you see the buildings and find a parking place- there's one disabled spot nearest the courtyard. There's an antiques place here with plenty of varied stock to browse and a tea room. We arrived at 1530 and even though it closes at 1600 were willing to serve. We sat outside as the weather was fine, but there's small tables inside. No table service, order at the till and they'll bring it out; we had two diet cokes, a tea pot for two, two millionaire shortbread, carrot cake and a buttered scone for ÂŁ16.50 all of which was tasty. Although 4 other tables were occupied there's a peaceful ambience about the place. There are 3 walks marked starting just across the road in a field with a view point highlighted overlooking the Tweed. Didn't go today but plan to in the future. Seemed to be popular with the other patrons.

We visited hoping for a coffee and cake, a slight change of plan resulted in delicious soup before a humungous scone and jam. Salted Caramel Cake with lovely hot coffee finished the meal which was then walked off on the trails. A beautiful place to visit.

·

Food very basic and poor choices but nice place to rest and walk dog. Bookshop still much the same as in all the years I have been coming here but nice antiques if,like books, pricey.

Interesting farmhouse Café with a boutique shop. Stopped by for lunch. Today’s soup with sandwich were tasty and liked the hot chocolate most. The decor was cute.

Lovely little hidden gem with lots of interesting information, a cute little antiques shop, a book shop and a cafe. Staff were lovely and the selection on offer in the cafe was great. Had a lovely coffee and the cakes we had were delicious. Will be back to explore some more.

We decided to stop here before heading home. The views and walks were lovely and perfect on such a beautiful autumn day. We finished off with a browse through the shop and some tea and cakes. My latte was delicious and the portions were generous. We ordered a selection of cakes and couldn't find fault with any of them. Our favourite was the lemon blueberry and coffe walnut cake. This tea house is off the beaten track but well worth a visit. It was so nice to find such a tranquil spot.
