Price in the window made to look like sit in prices but it is not it is a very expensive restaurant I has lamb today and it was realy tough so not what you expect for nearly £19 and it was just a curry with rice won't be back

Had a table booked for 8, mains were served at 10pm! Very expensive, quality ok.

we were here for dine-in and order at 7:04PM and food is served at 7:55PM. Of course we do not have a choice in this area. The bad part is the behaviour. We were asking in low voice why food is late and she raised her voice and rudely said “i told you food is coming”

We are currently visiting the area and were encouraged by the good reviews online. We called just before 7pm and were told they were busy, but to collect our order at 8.10pm. It took until after 9pm for it to be ready, which might have been OK if it was worth the wait. The prawns in the prawn dish were overcooked to the point of being inedible, the meat in the lamb dishes was tough and chewy, the naan bread was the smallest I've seen and stone-cold. Not what I'd expect for a takeaway that cost the best part of £50 for three people. Extremely disappointing.

Popped in of the off chance we could get a table. The Rachael and the staff were able to accommodate us. Our bad, we know how popular this place is and should have booked. We just had mains, the food was lovely, I had not realised it had been so long since our last visit. It was really, really, good to see that his place is still going strong, post covid. If you are passing this way, holidaying in the area, exploring Tweed Valley, Scottish Boarders, this is a very high recommended place for the finest Indian food. I am sorry there are no pictures, I did take one but it was of an empty plate, but I promise I was there again, and it was still as good.

Not going to lie this place has pretty bland food. If you’re used to spicy tasteful Indian food this is not the place for you. Most of the dishes taste quite similar and as if they have been cooked from a jar via the supermarket. Aside from that this place has good service and friendly staff.

I normally order from this takeaway once every 2 month and it usually has been great. Food is good and tasty and service is great. Tonight has been a bit different however as we had to wait over 45 minutes to collect a pretty simple takeaway order. I was advised on the phone that orders were pretty slow to begin with, 40-50 min wait, but when you have to wait another 45 mins outside in the rain after the advised time and other orders are leaving ahead of yours you start to think you've been forgotten about. After waiting all this time we were offered a £10 voucher which quite frankly is wasted as we will probably not order from here again until we hear better feedback about reducing order times. All that was needed here was rather than taking more orders, simply hold on and get through a backlog of orders who are waiting. I think also the problem was in the kitchen. Maybe short staff with coronavirus?Either way. Not a happy customer but hoping it will improve.

Incredible. We’d heard great things about Saffron from locals in Peebles - we weren’t disappointed and it was definitely worth seeking out. The quality of the food and the exceptional service more than made up for the slightly small number of tables available. Very busy on a Sat night with takeaway queues right down the street with good reason as the biryanis and specials were to die for! Definitely phone ahead to book if you can. We’ll be back! Yum.
