The Besom Inn Restaurant in Scottish Borders

Lovely pub lunch & beer..the lady name Carol worked hard all the time we were in the pub ..she looked after everyone who came in ..she was very organised & welcoming to us & our little dog .

Poppedhere for lunch today as a family. Kids menu is fab alot of choice. The food was amazing and all made fresh.1 of the owners served us he was very friendly and welcoming and the other owner his wife didn't pass without saying hello10/10 for everything

Had a lovely tasty Steak Pie and thick cut Chips mmmm On another night had a very nice haggis Beefburger and chips

This is the second time we've stopped off for lunch at the Besom and we will definitely go back. The food is really tasty. Staff are very friendly. A lovely dog friendly pub. Thank you for the water and dog treat Pip loved being spoilt 🐾🐾

If you travel between Newcastle and Edinburgh using the old routes this is a handy place to stop off. Whether you fancy a pint or a coffee, a sandwich or a meal the choice is yours. Used by the locals and the ramblers. There is a small carpark just across the road.

Lovely pub, we were passing by and stopped for food. The food was nice and the service was very good too.

Excellent Sunday roast lunch. All cooked to perfection and piping hot when served. Lovely atmosphere in pub and warm and cosy with a proper fire. Delicious house red at a great price. Enjoyed our afternoon!!

Awesome pub, friendly staff. I'm vegan so my dietary requirements are rather strict. The staff checked their vegetarian menu and confirmed that two of the options contain no animal products and a third, but roast, could be requested. Legends!

Lovely staff and the people that run it are fabulous! Visited as a family group, one being vegan and Michael and carol the landlord and lady were amazingly helpful! Michael makes most of the food on the menue food which is yummy! He was really diligent when it came to the vegan option! After having a bad experience at another pud in the area, all we can say is thank you!If we lived in coldstream this would be our local! Staff and locals were great and welcomed us with open arms!!

The pub is a traditional town pub on a main road. Service wasn't outstanding but friendly and reasonable. The food was OK and reasonably price. Parking was either on the main road or a small public car park opposite which means in busier times you may end up some distance away.
