Staff were very friendly, food was really good and staff were very attentive.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Will visit again. Handy for walks on the River Tweed and St Columba's way.

Single night stay, had a delicious burger in the evening and the breakfast in the morning was superb. Whole stay very pleasant with a clean tidy room.

Delicious heart warming vegetable & lentil soup and wide range of sandwich flavours with impeccable service for a big buffet. More than a pitstop.

We booked in advance and glad we did as the place was packed out.Food delicious.Staff very attentive.I had the Sloopy Cow burger and it was exceptionally filling.High recommended.

Had a lovely 2 night break here with hubby. Still going through stages of covid but it was great. Staff were amazing lovely lad Alex on bar got me into a new rum 😀 Credit to the team he was so nice. Jamie was great too. Sorry didn't get all the staff's names but a fantastic bunch. Food was superb, evening meals and breakfast. Location is very central for surrounding areas loved Melrose. Just to add too the locals who drank there were great company too.

Great welcome by Paul who sat us down along with our dog. Reasonable prices very nice food and well presented had the burger only downside for me was the bun wasnt toasted just my preference, tasted great. Good atmosphere and lovely old place with lots of original features which was good to see.

Looks ok from downstairs. The bedrooms would benefit from a total refurbishment. Bathrooms are like something from the 1970s with their pink bathroom suites and cheap lino.No coffee/tea facilities in the room.Windows difficult to open for fresh air.Definitely not a 4 star hotel!!!!

Stayed here for the first night of a motorcycle tour of Scotland. Excellent facilities for bikes and a very biker friendly atmosphere. Our room was great, but the welcome and service even better. This is a proper family business and it really seems like nothing is too much trouble to make your stay a good one. Had a nice home cooked meal on the evening and a superb Scottish breakfast the day we checked out. Beer was good too.Would definitely stay again, in fact we're now looking for what we can do in the surround area rather than travel farther north.
