Chow mein literally is noodles, no bean shoots , no onions, no flavour at all !!! something resembling chicken?? Balls were soggy , never again Curry sauce was ok though !

I've never written a negative review before because I used to work in the hospitality industry and I understand the pressures, plus even if it is bad I don't usually like to be rude. Therefore, I usually just give places the benefit of the doubt and don't make a fuss. However, this really needs to be said. So, we ordered:- Crispy shredded chilli beef- Lemon chicken- Aromatic duck- Spring rolls- Fried riceSo as I said before, being a chef I can tell you with 100% certainty that all of the food had been cooked hours before and left in a hot cupboard (uncovered) then given a quick reheat. The chicken had been overcooked and left for at least 4/5 hours giving it the consistency of very hard cardboard. The duck was the same, clearly cooked hours and hours before and poorly kept, again like eating shredded cardboard.I understand fully that places have to pre cook food especially when busy, but this was a very quiet Wednesday night and the only possible reason for how horrendous this was, is that the chef has been severely lazy. He/she has cooked everything when they arrived and left it all to dry out without even an attempt to revitalise it. It was so bad that it may have even been cooked the day before. Honestly the WORST food I have EVER eaten to the point I feel physically sick while writing this.As for the sauces, syrup. That's it. Just syrup. Not even the right flavours. As I said, I would never normally write a review, but this was just blatantly shocking. There is absolutely no way that chef can think that is acceptable!! I shouldn't even say chef actually because no chef made that food.

So sad that the only chinese takeaway in Duns just doesn't care about their food. About 50 minutes ago we collected our takeaway. Spring rolls were soggy (but tasty!!), aromatic duck arrived without spring onions & cucumber - duck was dry with a huge bone in it and rock hard, sauce was the same as my partners lemon chicken and the crispy shredded beef. Lemon chicken was rock solid also, like everything had been cooked and left under a hot lamp. Chilli beef basically chilli batter with a sweet sauce. Rice was black in colour. Such a shame as this would be our local, but can't honestly say i'd recommend or use again 😔

We've been travelling all day on a empty stomach and normally I can eat enything ,but when we arrived at the white Swan Hotel we decided to order fron the local Chinese next door ,so far so good lol 😆 we had two special chow main and a special mixed starter for about £20 inc tip .The starter was nothing special but the main smelt fusty and I regretted tasting it 😋, it went in the bin ,it had no flavour apart from the fust .

Worst Chinese in the borders. Over priced and rubbish food. Ordered crispy aromatic duck shedded and found bones aside it. Chips were soggy and there’s no difference between sauces. Don’t recommend.

Their stuff isn't bad, but it's far from the best oriental restaurant I've used. Be careful if you're diabetic - they seem to use a lot of syrup in their sauces.

Best chinese in Duns! The lovely lass, Rachael, was amazing! She was great to chat to while I waited on my takeaway 😁 The food was awesome! Love the salt and pepper chicken!

Yum! The perfect spot when craving Chinese food on a cold, rainy night. For a very reasonable £17 We had a mountain of food: crispy noodles, egg fried rice, prawn toasts, sweet and sour chicken and crispy chilli beef. There would have been leftovers but we were so hungry we scoffed the lot!Service was really friendly and our food was ready in 15 minutes - Just enough time for a quick drink at the pub. We'll definitely be back!

Food didnt take long to prepare but the seating area looked scruffy and there were dead insects on the windowsills. Food was soggy and chips were awful. Obviously no care taken in preparing the food. Utterly disgusting. I wanted to throw up. I probably could have if I didn't have a drink afterwards. Hope I don't get a disease from it.

Had a take-away on a Saturday night; consequently the food took about 45 minutes to be prepared. Most of the order was good, can especially recommend the lamb mains; we felt that the special Chow mein was bland though. Prices are pretty average for a Chinese takeaway.
