Good coffee, good food, dogs welcome. Dog treats a welcome addition.

Lovely food & we were spoiled for choice! Great location & friendly service. A fab lunch stop on our bike ride (bike stands conveniently located opposite in the square). Thank you.

We’ve had a coffee or tea here several times when we visit the Scottish Borders and the experience has been reasonable but with occasional issues. However this time was just impossible. We were shown to a table and then waited to to be served - the cafe was not busy and there were three staff. After about 5 minutes a customer came in and almost forced two ladies off their table as they were packing up to leave. The young lady who had shown us to our table then tidied and cleaned the adjacent table for the new customer. After another few minutes the new customer was served and we were ignored. A simple mistake ? - I suppose so but I don’t think this is excusable. So we left.

The Cream Chimneys is my go-to place for lunch whenever I visit Kelso. My border collie is made just as welcome as I am, and the food and service excellent. Resident dog Piper, with her 'Do Not Feed Me' bandana, is a hoot, especially when she tries out all her blandishments on customers in the hope of a treat! Recommend 100%

Very pleasant tearoom very clean and with polite and friendly staff. Good food perhaps a slightly limited menu but would certainly recommend it.

Panini was excellent, soup was great. Best part was the floral teas! (Cake was also good). Busy but service was still nice

Had a quick stop here to warm up. The Mocha was fantastic and Piper was soooooo friendly and wanted a belly rub💕 Makes me want to have a dog like her 🐶

Staff are amazing, always a pleasure to visit. Food is excellent, particularly the citrus scones. Well worth a look.

Underwhelming and overpriced. To be avoided. The food in The Cobbles was far more substantial and offered much better value. Most importantly there were far better ingredients resulting in much tastier food.
