The Crown Hotel Restaurant in Scottish Borders

Me and my mum had lunch great value great food loved baked potatoe my mum liked her pannie too will be back again very quick service too staff lovely too

Reasonably tasty pub grub. The buffalo chicken burger was good, but the chips were not as crispy as they could have been (they were the extra thick cut ones that are never really as good as the thin, crispy variety.)

Not staying here just popped in for a sandwich and coffee well presented good price left feeling good defo worth a wee visit good atmosphere interesting bar also

We were looking for somewhere to get some lunch and thankfully picked this place. The food was fantastic. Good portions and very good priceThere wasn't a dish that went past my table that I didn't look and smell delicious. Definitely coming back.

Bar staff friendly. Rooms lovely. Breakfast adequate. But as the pub does not close until 12am, and it is a busy pub with a juke box, it is not the place to stay if you want an early night. Maybe other rooms are quieter, but the one I stayed in was on top of the bar.

Family cycled from Melrose to Peebles for a one night stay over and back. We booked the apartment which has room for 5 (one double, 3 singles). Owner met us outside when we arrived and was extremely helpful. Bikes were kept in garage 2 mins walk around the corner. Apartment was a bonus as we thought it was a family room. Really functional and tidy. Food and drink was good quality and reasonably priced. Recommend the Wagyu Burger if you have an appetite. Customer service all great and genuine. The bar was bouncing but in friendly way. Noise did not bother us in the apartment. Large but quality breakfast before leaving. Will be back.

The braised feather blade steak special was incredible as were all the other meals we ordered. The chef is clearly very talented. Service and value for money both excellent too. Wish I didn't live 4 hrs away.

Popped into The Crown Hotel in Peebles for lunch today. Luckily we were able to get a table as we hadn't booked....Peebles is a lovely town to visit, lovely shops, plenty of places to get a coffee, and sit and chat. Lots of charity shops to look around, ice cream to eat when it's really hot!The Crown Hotel have an extensive menu, from soup & a sandwich combo, to steaks, they also serve children's meals.As u enter, on the left is a small but beautiful dining room, the bar is to the right. Through to a small area with 2 tables, comfy chairs and a fire. Down the stairs, 4, I think, opens into the dining room with a lovely conservatory at the back.The staff were so lovely and so was the food. K had gammon, pineapple, hand cut chips & peas, I ordered scampi, chips peas and tarter sauce ...We were really full, couldn't unfortunately manage a pud! Maybe next time.

This is a 4* property. We stayed here spontaneously due to weather driving up to Glasgow. Jo gave the 3 of us the lovely apartment to stay in and we had dinner down in the restaurant and breakfast.The food and service was outstanding.Our apartment was also lovely, very quiant and cosy. Very clean.Thank you for such a lovely stay. We will be back.

Perfect location in the middle of town. Nicely presented, clean rooms. Food was good, portion sizes were great (though ended up with some leftover which I was able to take away with me - reducing food waste, which is brilliant 👏). The staff were all lovely and super helpful.
