The Hoebridge in Scottish Borders

Hoebridge never disappoints!I’ve been coming to this fabulous restaurant for eight years, whenever I’m in the region. The monthly menu always has something that strikes your fancy (the fresh pasta with ragu is one of my fabulous meals I’ve eaten)!The staff is lovely, and co-owner and host Kyle always welcomes you with a kind word and a smile.Must visit when in the boarders.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in the Borders from first to last excellent service and the food was brilliant 👏 for me praising a steak would never happen but the one I have just eaten was the best ever if you like food and wine try this place it will not disappoint

Absolutely fabulous, from start to end. Very friendly and attentive staff with one of the co-owners showing interest and charm whilst running a fantastic front of house. Very chic minimalist interior in whites and greys, with beautiful wild flowers the only adornment other than smart tableware. Food was wonderful, great flavours and interesting combinations, without being too experimental. One of the best places we’ve ever eaten at. Do go!

Exceptional food. This was our first time dining at Hoebridge but it will not be our last. We arrived early and had cocktails at the bar, both were excellent. We had starters and mains each and we were both delighted with both the food and the service.If you are in the Melrose or Gattonside area then it's worth trying to see if a table is available, preferably book in advance. It will be worth it.

After e.mailing about my 86yr old mum wanting to celebrate whist visiting the are , the staff went all out to make her experience very special. The food is absolutely fabulous and the and service is outstanding , friendly and we Highly recommend a visit..

The Hoebridge was a fantastic dinner. The food was inventive and clearly picked with care. Beautiful and intimate setting with a flair of Nordic decor. The staff were lovely, conversational and care free. Well worth the trip from Edinburgh to spent a lovely evening with loved ones.

Delicious food in a comfortable and well designed restaurant. Lovely staff.Only dropped a star due to a slightly salty bernaise sauce, which we fed back to the kitchen.

Great good and service …This was our second time with friends and family and will definitely be going back when we visit Scotland again …

Utterly wonderful. The service is superb. The wine and cocktail selection is outstanding and the food is fantastic. Highly recommended
