Haven't been here for years and will probably not be back. Food was delicious, coffee mediocre and they have removed all the comfy seats in lounge area. The tables felt sticky and waitress seemed very disinterested in any interaction with guests.

I had the stake and ale pie with flaky puff pastry and buttery mash Well the puff pastry was too good and the mash not buttery Service was excellent tho

Very nice lunch.....Good selection of gluten free meals.....lacked a bit of atmosphere, till they put music on....was a wee bit chilly....staff very cheery and helpful....no rushing

Very tired place. Peeling paint on window sills. Supposed to be dog friendly but i saw no evidence of it. My dog needed to go out at midnight but no way of finding any attention . Notices saying the alarms were on so i didnt dare unlock a door to take my poor dog out. There needs to be a notice for out of hours doir opening. My poor dog had to suffer all night waiting

Lovely restaurant, great food the chef even stayed late to cook for us, staff were really friendly, a great stop off on the way to Edinburgh

We popped in here today for lunch en route to holiday. Let us bring our wee puppy in, and were excellent welcoming us in. The staff were all excellent, friendly, and warm. The food was fantastic too..portions are big! The burger i had was really, really good (and huge, as it was a double). Highly recommended and we may drop in on way home at the end of the week.

Had sons 18th then family meal, lovely building, great atmosphere, foods brilliant but biggest plus is how lovely and friendly and helpful the staff are.Waiting tables isn't best job, everyone's enjoying themselves while you work...but chatting to the staff they've got a lovely attitude and couldn't be more helpful, all very friendly and professional, will definitely be back.

Room was quite nice. Good size and adjoining room with bunk beds for kids. Carpet needed a good hoover and food was poor. We skipped the breakfast on day 2 even though we'd paid for it. Evening meal very overpriced for what you actually get. Seemed like cheap ingredients cooked with little attention. Some staff seemed very grumpy.

Could do better. The location is good and the decor is fresh. The food on this occasion was average, the staff appeared to lack training in the basics. The helpings were good and the service was reasonable, possibly due to the lack of training. It could be a great venue if, the staff are better prepared for clients and the quality of food is improved. It's worth a 3.5 at this time.

Extremely accommodating for our needs. Staff extremely friendly. The restaurant food is terrific. Despite being near two A roads, these are very quiet; we slept with the window open and didn't here any traffic between 10 and 7.
