I stayed at The Plough following completion of the Pennine Way and was provided with a warm welcome. Evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and overall service was great. Recommended!

The staff are all wonderful & welcoming. The room was absolutely lovely (such a comfy bed!) and meals were fab. The staff were very helpful and SUPER patient working around my food allergies & the chef did an amazing job. Every meal was refreshingly good despite being dairy, gluten and sugar free. :) This girl was a happy camper!

Lovely room and a warm welcome. Staff fantastic and good craic. Location fantastic for walking or just chilling for a night or 2. Highlight though was the food - a simple menu but that was a positive as the food was fresh, local produce beautifully seasoned and delicious. Will definitely return.

Stopped off here for dinner one evening having completed the PW and staying at a neighboring hotel. The COVID procedures were good . Vanessa was serving behind the bar. A very pleasant young lady, great service, knowledge and conversation with the punters. Overall an asset to the business
