The Queens Head Hotel in Scottish Borders

One of our party was staying in the room right above the bar, found it very noisy. Food was hit or miss, fish was excellent but steak was tough as old boots. Service wasn't the best either, staff disagreed and argued with our assessment of the 2 steaks we complained about. We paid and left, wont be back.

Great hotel restaurant & bar, lovely atmosphere great and pleasant service from Bar staff,, they make u feel welcome & at home,, i would recommend this to all visitors,,, visiting Kelso ,, iether staying in hotel or having a meal as a guest or having a quiet drink with friends or loved one's,, great atmosphere 5 star fir me !!!

We had a fabulous stay here. The room was large and very comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay. The real stand out though was the staff. They were excellent, they couldn't have done more to welcome us and provided excellent service at all times.Would highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting the area.

Went to the Queens Head tonight for Christmas drinks and a meal with friends. The bar and waiting staff are fantastic as always. The pub was really busy and the atmosphere was great - everyone was having such a great time. Our food was delicious and it was so nice to see so many new things on the menu and such a new variety of vegan and vegetarian choices. I have a vegan friend and 3 vegetarian friends and I will definitely be telling them how appetising the vegan /veggie choices are now. Fab!

Receptionists lovely and helpful. Lady doing the breakfasts couldn't do enough for us and was lovely despite being very busy. One criticism, when we in the bar Friday night for a drink, we were told one of us would have to stand as there was only one seat left. Poor customer service from bar staff considering there was a whole area of seats not being used.

We had a fantastic stay the staff are brilliant and very helpful I am not usually a great morning person but Steph and her warm funny and amazing service At breakfast made even me enjoy morning. The whole team made my dog feel very welcome And even left treat's for him when cleaning the room 😊. I can't recommend the Queen's head highly enough. Thanks again for a wonderful long weekend we will definitely be back.

Everything about our stay was brilliant we stayed in room 12 it’s was fabulous so much space very clean we wanted for nothing . It was spotlessly clean there was plenty of storage for our clothes. It was do relaxing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff they were all great. I would definitely recommend a stay here without a doubt.

A fabulous stay, with friendly and very helpful staff. Stayed in deluxe room with plenty of space and tea and coffee making facilities. House keeping kindly waited for us to leave room after 1pm before refreshing for our evening return. Full Scottish breakfast was delicious all with excellent service and with a smile. Highly recommended, would most definitely stay again.
