The Roxburghe Hotel in Scottish Borders

We booked a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel and grounds are very impressive and once you enter the hotel the deco is stunning. The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. The food was beautifully presented and delicious . We would definitely recommend and will be returning

Had our wedding day at the Schloss Roxburghe after our previous venue let us down and they were AMAZING... our wedding day was even more perfect than it would have been at the previous venue. A HUGE shout out to Michael who organised the entire wedding and nothing was too much to ask for, even given the tight deadlines.Everyone commented at how relaxed they felt at the venue as the staff were absolutely amazing and the food was to die for.Couldn't recommend enough!!!

Gorgeous hotel, absolutely loved our private dining area booked for the team Christmas lunch. The food was very good and staff very attentive. Dog friendly too, excellent. Definitely recommend 😊

I cannot express how incredible my experience was here. I came from London as the baker/ decorater and maid of honour for my best friend's wedding. Not only is this place gigantic and absolutely breathtaking, don't get me started on the fantastic rooms. But I had a MASSIVE issue as the cake had gotten completely ruined on the journey, I was really a mess running on 2 hours sleep. I first spoke to reception who led me to Michael who as so lovely and helpful and the rest of the team. I genuinely cannot express my gratitude to the staff here. They are exceptional in EVERYWAY, they communicated with me, made me feel calm (when I am not a calm person) and literally fixed the cake, I know it was not an easy task but they did it all with a smile and elegance. I really wish I got her name but there was a lady that worked with Michael who put me in contact with the chefs (who were AMAZING) and just generally helped me at such a stressful time, so a big thank you to her. The wedding went incredibly, it was beautiful, food was delicious everyone was beyond happy. I hope you all know how much we appreciate you working, especially on new years eve, if it were up to me you'd all get bonuses! If I would give 100 stars I could!

Lovely venue. Gorgeous old wood features and stunning top class refurbishments. Bathrooms are lovely. Lovely mixture of old and new. Food is amazing, staff are friendly and professional. Even though the venue is 5 star it felt homey, warm,inviting,and relaxed. Lovely views of old trees and open grassy areas from the bar where my wife and I had lunch by the fire.

Fantastic stay at The Roxburghe for our Silver wedding anniversary. Thank you to all the team for making it memorable. Really impressed with the vision and investment in this great hotel and golf course. Excited to come back when the work is completed.

We travelled up with a party of eight, and we certainly got the warm well welcome we were promised in our confirmation email. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted and shown to the dining room where we had a light lunch before we played golf.The course was in amazing condition, as always.I would like to thank all of the staff, and the golf professional for making it another memorable day.Till the next time. 😀

Mostly good, however we asked for a groundfloor room for my mother in law and were given rooms in a cobbled courtyard which was difficult to walk on. Staff were friendly however service was not great and the one young person serving us was completely out of their depth. I appreciate there are staff shortages but throwing a raw recruit into an environment like this was not really acceptable. When the hotel is finished I'm sure it will be good however, we felt we were paying top prices for a work in progress.

Another delightful stay in a beautiful setting. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room, great view and wonderful food !!!! Can't wait for our next visit.

Can't believe that they simply cancelled our booking! We were very much looking forward to staying at Schloss Roxburghe for New Year's Eve. After our booking was accepted in early September we were notified last week that they had chosen to cancel this. Nothing we could say could change their mind. They provided three (different) reasons each time we spoke to them, which made them come across as dishonest. Almost certainly the issue was "greed related" as we had chosen to not pay £350pp for their Gala Dinner. We were almost certainly bumped off our reservation by another couple who were up for this. Really poor service!
