Food lovely staff helpful but dont go here if your hungry waiting time is 30mins for sandwiches disappointing

Went expecting a lovely family coffee (as we had in the past) but wasn't meant to be. We had no problem registering online, but online ordering was far from satisfactory. Finding out gf options was not clear and payment process wouldn't work. Staff said they would come and take order but nobody appeared, so we left.

Presently, it's barely worth one star.We (4 of us)were so disappointed with it - we had gone with reasonable hopes of a decent lunch, but it was not good. The waiters were patently not trained at all in table service ( in better times it's a buffet canteen style). They were too few for table service. They had difficulty taking orders as there was only one IPad for ordering.I think the kitchen had problems with table service and cooking to order. The meat in the two steak pies was almost inedible, the burger was overcooked and hard (!). The fish and chips, poor. The fish was soaked in grease, chips were cool, the mushy peas tasteless. We ordered desserts, 3 out of 4 came. 2 out of the 3 had ingredients missing. On a more positive note, COVID measures were very evident, and the bill was reduced for the missing items.I think this is a failure of management, rather than frontline staff.

Place is nice but food is extortionate for what you get going by what I recieved in December. That sad sandwich you see was almost 9£, there was one thin piece of soggy steak inside. Quite a disappointment.

Today we visited the new coffee shop for the first time. It was a very good experience. Lovely restaurant, good choice of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back, and recommending to others.

Roomy cafe with pleasant ambiance and delicious scones. Can't risk ordering cappuccino on Sundays as the staff have difficulty in getting a good result. More like a latte. Please insist on staff training in process of obtaining a new authentic cappuccino.

I have to admit I didn't really look at much garden type stuff at this garden centre! That's because they have a large range of homewares, gifts, and at the moment a Christmas range. They also have a pretty decent cafe which does both snacks, meals, cakes etc at reasonable prices. Slightly set back from the main road so make sure you don't drive past it.

Puppy puppy PUPPY stuff What a great selection... pretty good prices .. but still it mounts up. Can't help but treat those wee darlins !! Very happy with purchases and help from staff. Really convenient.
