The Townhouse in Scottish Borders

Set in Melrose which is an attractive and thriving town with lovely small shop's and restaurants. The Townhouse is central to the town. Beautifully decorated and clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Very tasty breakfast with everything you could want.

Had a lovely dinner! Very attentive staff. Excellent food and service.

Great food, good service and very nice atmosphere

Last minute decision to eat here and I am very glad we did. Great setting and the staff were great and very friendly. I have to say that the burger was the best burger I have ever had.

Went for afternoon tea. One person in party was gluten free & dairy free but the chef catered for this with very tasty alternatives!! Would highly recommend!! Good value for money too!! Staff friendly & efficient. Will definitely go back!!

We had our wedding meal at the Townhouse, the food and service were spectacular. The guests were really pleased with both. Thanks to Louise, James, Caitlin and the team for your spectacular hospitality.

We were very comfortable here for two nights, breakfast menu is extensive. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we had a wedding to attend - it was a good reception for 30 people with very tasty food. Our bedroom was comfortable if a little small and the ensuite was very clean.

A last minute booking and fortunate to get 2 rooms. The staff were welcoming and very efficient, the rooms clean and fresh. The food was excellent with an interesting menu. A delightful find and well worth the money. We hope to return.

Spacious comfortable accommodation. Lovely evening meal at a reasonable price, Chef did enough to set the quality meal above our expectations. Good range of breakfasts. Polite and friendly staff.

We enjoyed an excellent meal here with friends following the reclassification of this area to Level 1. Service was prompt and appropriate. We were the last to leave but felt under no pressure whatever.Meanwhile the menu offered a reasonable but not excessive choice of dishes. When it arrived the food was of high quality- with the possible exception of the smoked salmon, which did look as though it had sat on the warmer for a little too long. However all the other dishes were well presented - and tasted great. Recommended.
