Fantastic staff in Jamie and Sally who could not have helped any more to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has great character and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Half way through a cycle run three of us stopped here for lunch, we all enjoyed fish and chips and had an americano coffee, comfortable with friendly staff, we have been before and will return again!

Very nice food. The homemade pies are delicious. Not cheap but definitely worth it as a treat for a meal out.

·

Great little pub with rooms. Friendly and welcoming staff, a decent beer selection and good food.

Power cut at home in Walkerburn, trying to support local pubs, only to be told to leave the restaurant by an exceptionally rude young waiter. We had not booked a table, as the restaurant was 3/4 empty, to be told the restaurant was totally fully booked all night. I asked if it was possible that he could check for a cancellation or a no show, only to be treated with more aggression, which I asked him not to show in front of my 3 and 9 year old. At which point he told me to leave. Eat out to help out to be treated so badly. I will never come back here and will gladly inform all my riding buddies the same. Rudeness is not required and not infront of young children.

One of the best meals that I have had in a long time, the food was top quality and service was excellent, I couldn't recommend this place enough. Set in a lovely village with fantastic walks, bike rides etc.

Review for food at the Traquair, no overnight stay involved.I visited this place a few months back and we decided to eat and drink outside on a beautiful sunny day. They’ve done up the seating area at the back so there’s plenty of space now.The food was absolutely beautiful. I had seabass with a red pepper sauce which was delicious. It was all table service at this point, with the staff being attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the visit and would recommend this place if you are in Innerleithen.

Cosy pub with excellent food and a good selection of vegetarian and gluten free options. Bar staff were very friendly, polite and quick to serve the drinks.I can highly recommend the dirty fries as a starter!

Was so good we went 2 nights in a row. Great food and beer with friendly service. Just want you want after a day out on the bike.

The staff were all amazingly helpful, both before and during our stay. We were unable to check-in during their allocated hours due to being at a wedding (the reason for our stay), yet the staff were super helpful when I phoned to enquire about this prior to booking. On arrival, the young man at reception got us checked in early, provided us with our room key, and even offered to call a taxi to take us to the wedding venue (and provided us with a couple of taxi numbers for our return journey after the wedding). We enjoyed a relaxing drink while we waited for our taxi, and the lady behind the bar was friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable (excellent bed; very comfy, and we both had a great night's sleep), and the breakfast was fresh, filling, and delicious. We had a wonderful stay, and look forward to returning the next time we're in the area. Thank you again!
