Chip Box 4 in Ceredigion

Honestly the worst fish I've ever had. The food hygiene rating of 1 was a dead giveaway of the abysmal food I was about to ensure. The chips managed to be both soggy and hard at the same time, while the fish tasted like it had been left on a radiator for a couple of days. Avoid at all costs.

A big portion, but the quality of my cheesy chips was really low - the staff just put some grated cheese on the top which didn't even melt. What is even worse, they have very small forks and that's really hard to eat using them - I had to go back home to enjoy my meal. A cod was okay but really nothing special, I can't see why there are so many good reviews of this place.

The chips were hot and not too greasy but a bit slow in service. I unfortunately cannot recommend this eatery when compared to other (very) local alternatives. There was hair in the food of one in my party and the food hygiene rating is low (1) although this is mostly due to the condition of the building and workplace not because of hygiene issues when checked online. To be fair to them they don't hide from their rating and they display it on the door. Turns out there's a level 5 place across the way.

Absolutely awful food good job i didn't pay £8.70 for fish chips and peas. You're beans and black hard chips were bad enough and cold

As a delivery driver I thought I had found the best chippy around in Salisbury, I was proved wrong today after visiting this place. The best fish cake & chips I have ever had, will definitely be returning when delivering in this area again 👍

Had fish & chips a couple time last wk while staying in the area. The staff were friendly the place unfortunately could do with a clean and tidy up. The fish & chips were delish best I've had for a long time will definitely use next time in the area.

Great fish and chips, far better than expected and decent portions!! With the added bonus of actually making my fish look like a fish - take a peak at the attached image, spooky but really cool.

The fish and chips are just great here. However, the wait is a little too much even with a few people there. The fish is very good and their chips are just amaizng. However, I gave them only 4 stars because I asked for slat and vinegar but it was a little too salty. If they had used less salt it would have been better. Also some chips were super slaty while others weren't very salty.

The fish and chips were nice but better staff training and not so arrogant servers would be a good thing

Ok, service was a bit slow, but probably due to Corona Virus restrictions, and to be honest waiting on the promenade isn't a chore. The chips were overcooked on this occassion, but, they are normally excellent.
