A lovely cafe between the beach and the main street. With a decoration that mixes the vintage with the modern, Coffee #1 is an excellent place to relax chatting with friends or reading a book.The menu offers a varied repertoire of coffees, smoothies and sweets that will not leave anyone indifferent.

This is the best place for coffee in Aberystwyth. Staff are friendly and always smiling nevermind how long the queue of customers is. Sam the manager is crazy in the best possible way goes above and beyond and this reflects on the rest of the staff.

Great coffee central location ideal formeeting up with people. friendly staff led by Sam who always has time for people. All sorts of snacks and in cakes etc to choose from. Highly recommended.

Not impressed with service.My order included a glass of water. The member of staff serving me never said anything while taking the order. The manager came out from the back area and started on my order. I paid and was told my order was at the end of the counter. It was missing the glass of water. I politely stated the order included a glass of water. The manager selected an empty tumbler, smacked it onto a machine top next to them. Filed it from a tap and brought it over whilst at the same time pointing to my left and muttering something unintelligible. I looked in the direction of the pointing to see a tray set on a table with glasses and a water jug. The staff member and manager only had to say I was to help myself to water which was on the table. There wasn't a notice at the counter and the location of the tray is obscured from view when at the ordering point.I'm annoyed with myself at not challenging the manager's attitude at the time and putting it down here. But at least now it's been said.

The best (?) coffee in Aberystwyth! Plenty of variety and brews of different teas and coffees. Opens at 8am. I had breakfast here a couple of days. The croissants and other viennoiserie are to die for!

We popped in for a coffer and snack on a blustery day en-route down the west coast. Long queue at the till, so I looked for a table upstairs while my wife ordered. Only one table free, covered in dumped trays, cups, and plates. Lots of tables with one student on a laptop. Nobody clearing tables. Eventually, we found a table when somebody left. The staff at the counter were great and working very hard. Coffee was great. It just seemed understaffed on the day. Shame.

Great place for coffee and cake. Very relaxed 2 storey cafe. A firm favourite of ours and near the Prom - what's not to like?

Have been coming here for ages and in the past it's been a great place for coffee and cake. It's dog friendly and the coffee is good. Only problem these days is the service. It's incredibly slow, with queues out the door some days and only one person trying to do everything. The queues aren't just heaps of people coming at the same time, it's more a backlog because the service is so slow - Hope it gets better again soon 😥

Lovely coffee, and very comfortable to sit and read by a window. The seats are comfy too!
