Express Fish and Chips in Ceredigion

Chips are mixed with old chips and the place is full of flies definitely deserves reporting to heath and hygiene. Staff were ignorant I told them several times about the Infestation and the one who spoke English said they have always had flies .almost £40 spent there and not even an apology .I did speak out and informed all patrons they will be fighting off flies .this would be zero stars .I hate being negative but awful awful place. You can see dried chips in photo I thought add sauce still unedible and worse with the flies

Waited long time for the food ,then chicken and chips came in over fried and recycled burnt chips and hard to cut chicken .was attacked by swarms of fruit flies and bluebottle which where landing on our food while we where eating ,in the end struggled to eat had to put mayo and ketchup on which I never normally do because I normally enjoy the taste of food,in the end The flies won and I couldn’t stomach it my sister and I will never eat there again! one star is too high but you can’t do a negative 5 stars I don’t know how they have passed a food hygiene standards may or may not have poisening not sure shouldn’t have ordered chicken as last time was a totally different experience I trusted them

Your chips are over badly cooked! Patties are not nice and burned! And your food is so dreadful. You had flies flying around and landing on my food!

Arrived late in the day searching for an all day breakfast. Turned away from 3 cafes before them as they had stopped serving food. They had also stopped doing breakfasts but still out of pure kindness said they could still do it for us but warned of a minor wait. They were so helpful they did everything for us, great all day breakfast (even at 4pm!) and fantastic coffees!Would highly recommend, thank you again to the helpful and friendly team at Express.

Went one day with the family. We were absolutely starving and hadn't eaten lunch. Thankfully we stumbled across the place and took lunch. The staff were polite and friendly.The food was fresh and the portions were very generous. Would definitely recommend this place. 😁😁

Lovely friendly staff,fish and chips the best,very fresh fish.Exceptionally clean,couldn't fault it at all.Keep up the standards,which I'm sure you will.

Had Cod chips and a diet coke here on a friday lunchtime.Staff were nice but a bit pricey at £12.65.

Very nice fish & chips, some of the best I've had to be honest. It was a pleasant surprise to have battered sea bass, which I've never had before. The chips themselves were also very good, as was the curry sauce. We sat in, which made it more expensive, but still cheaper than most restaurants, and it made for a good people-watching spot!

Cod and chips was very good, but, the staff, they were amazing. Was in town looking for my nans grave (not been in Aber for about 15 years). The staff were brilliant, 4 members of staff all helping, taking time out when they were already busy. Thankyou x

Don't often pop in here but can highly recommend the chip shop and the cafe. The foods always hot and we'll presented they include a cup of coffee with the breakfast. I had a lovely bacon and egg bap my hubby had a breakfast. Both were delicious with a nice a couple of coffees. The staff here are Realy friendly and polite they certainly know how to make you feel welcome. We used to go a lot to the other cafe before it closed still miss it. Now it's nice to just pop in for hubby to get a tray of chips or brekie. He sometimes pops in on his own if he's in town without me. So go in if your passing and see what they have to offer can highly recommend the breakfast if you fancy one. And if you have a big appetite then your definitely going to enjoy eating here.
