Wonderfully friendly staff - genuine smiles from the moment we arrived and we felt so welcome. Food was really varied and delicious. Nicely laid out inside with plenty of ventilation and space. Service was fast and they they really seemed keen that our experience was good, which it was. Glad we found it.

Gorgeous little cafe in a beautiful seaside town. Had a Yorkshire wrap while my partner had a panini, all the food was lovely (so lovely in fact that we went back later to grab bits for the evening) and the staff were delightful and super helpful and friendly. Wish we lived closer so we could go here all the time

Went for coffee and there was no room outside, when asked if we could go inside we were told only small dogs. They need to change their "dog friendly" status when it is clearly not.

This is a lovely cafe, with beautiful food, cakes and goodies. Vegan options are also available. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect for a meal or coffee stop whilst exploring Aberaeron. Very highly recommended indeed.

Great service, even though very busy. Friendly staff. Food was plentiful and reasonably priced. Bistro upstairs was cosy and had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend popping in for a bite and a cuppa

Just spent a week away on holiday in Aberaeron and chanced upon McGowan's on our first day. Super friendly staff, lovely food including a good range of choice for vegetarians (including quiches, 'sausage' rolls, soup, baguettes, veggie breakfast, baked potatoes and more!). We had lunch here twice, a couple of take-away coffees and picked up baguettes that were made to order in 5 minutes before we went off for the day walking in the mountains. Outdoor seating at the front opposite the park as well as having seating inside upstairs. So glad we found them!

First time we visited the town McCowans was shut. Glad we came back when it was open. Had the cheese & potato pie, with baked beans, for lunch. It was delicious.

What a fab little find.Ate in, upstairs surrounded by old photos and items. Food was tasty and quick. I tried brie and cranberry quiche which was delicious and other half had cheese and potato pie which was equally as tasty. Would highly recommend a visit and would return.

We visited this café on 09-Nov and again on 12-Nov. Excellent service, both times, delightful food and the best seat in the house, both visits, with a wonderful view of Sgwar AlbanWe cannot recommend McGowans enough and we look forward to another visit next time we are in, Aberaeron.
