Food was authentic Caribbean. Plantain was great ,rice and peas was great. The dumplings a little hard. The wait time was long for the food but worth it.Prices are quite expensive but I understand as West Indian ingredients are quite expensive. If the lunch time prices was also for sitting in then it would be even better

Amazing food, great flavours, tender meat, great atmosphere, superb quick service, very helpfull staff. Chef Phil - found some time to meet the customer with a smile and passion. Well done team Mama Fay’s. Strongly recommend. ♥️♥️♥️

This was a little gem of a place. Staff were friendly attentive but not pushy. We had plenty of time to look at the menu and the food was wonderful. It was very nice when the chef came out to check that you were happy with your food. I would recommend visiting Aberystwyth to five this restaurant a try.....well worth it.

It was our first time eating at Mama Fay's this evening. We ordered The curried goat it was full of flavour and meat very tender. We also ordered rice and peas and chips as sides and both were very nice. Compliments to the Chef and staff at Mama Fay's. I'm sure we will be back to try other dishes with you

The food here is absolutely amazing! I had the Curried Goat with some of the sides and loved it very much! Why 3 stars though? Well the service is very slow. we ordered our drinks and they sat on the bar on a tray for 10 minutes before being brought to our table. Then a further 30 minutes until our food arrived... Then when trying to wave the staff for the bill, no one would take notice so we had to go to the bar and pay. More attentive staff would've made this a 5 star.

Authentic Caribbean favourites served with a smile - so glad I dropped in! I chose sweetcorn fritters, followed by curried goat, finished off with mango cheesecake. Everything was fresh and quite delicious. Good selection of drinks too. Highly recommended.

Visited Mama Fay's for the first time this evening for takeaway food.1st of all I want to say the paintings of Koffee, Vbyz Kartel etc.. on the wall are amazing. They are available to purchase also. Now for the meal itself and as a person of Jamaican heritage. The food was spot on, I had a Jerk Sharing Platter with Curry Goat. I don't have a single bad thing to say, when visit this part of the world again.

Food was mediocre, service poor, sides weren't brought out with the mains, we reminded the waitress at the start of our meal that we had ordered sides and they were brought out as we were finishing our meals. The jerk pork pieces were small and dry, the Ital stew was okay, but the veg wasnt fresh and vibrant like most carribean food (potatoes had dark spots etc)! The rice was really good though and my daughter enjoyed her curry chicken. The rum punch was great, however a fly landed in my grandmothers and when the waiter was informed he just said it wouldn't have been sent out with a fly in it, so that was a waste of £7 as there was no offer of replacing it! Over all a disappointing evening meal.

Amazing little restaurant in town, served a great variety of food and drinks with tasteful décor inside. Plenty of seating although perhaps could do with accommodating more than one large group of people. They take table bookings if you prefer that to walk ins, and I was able to get a large cocktail for £4.50 which was a great price. The workers were extremely friendly and attentive. With a variety of starters I was able to have a lighter meal whilst my friends were just as accommodated for a larger meal. Recommend for a unique meal.

Colourful gem of a place to eat where we stopped for lunch while on holiday. I had jerk chicken and my husband had jerk pork. Could have been a bit hotter spice wise but otherwise fresh and very flavorful. Followed with the sweet potato pie for dessert which was lovely - not too sweet. Portions were a sensible size. Service was warm and welcoming. Excellent adherence to hygiene practices for COVID. Wish there were more places like it to eat at in Aberystwyth.
