We were very disappointed with the food. The green and red currys were thick and gloopy with clumps of coconut cream and colourless instead of the vibrant colours and thin texture you would expect from a curry. The taste of the dishes we had was bland and the whole appearance was off putting and snotty. The waitresses were nice though. We spotted the hygiene rating was a 1 on our way out.

Unfortunately had a horrendous experience here visiting as a vegan couple. I'm very concerned that the staff and chef do not have adequate allergen training, definitely don't risk visiting here if you have an allergy until they improve this. They could not confirm if the vegetarian dishes contained egg or milk without a lot of loud back and forth. We were initially told by the waitress that they have no idea if it's vegan, and the chef doesn't even know what vegan means. Turns out, after the chef came out to speak to us, one of the veggie dishes has oyster sauce in it making it not even vegetarian, and they didn't know the allergens of several sauces they buy in. We did get served food eventually after discussing this. However, the atmosphere was really horrible. We could hear kitchen staff shouting about "being on top of the food chain", and boasting about eating dogs and snakes. It was just really embarrassing and uncomfortable. The food also wasn't particularly great, the tofu could have been cooked better, but fine, we were grateful to be fed at least and that something seemingly vegan could be worked out. We normally go to Chinese restaurants because it's easy to get vegetable and tofu dishes, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had in years. I'm so, so concerned that someone with an allergy is going to get hurt if they can't educate themselves better, they should be on it. They need to list allergens on the menu and be prepared to be more accommodating for situations like this.

I had a great vegetarian curry with rice and my husband enjoyed the chicken curry and rice. Thank you Second visit, the vegetable sweet and sour was delicious. My favourite, so far.

Such a great place for the price! We stayed for a small getaway in Wales & this was the closest & best rated Chinese around the area - I can see why it is the best rated! Delicious food!We only went for the takeout but I am sure the restaurant itself is just as good, if not better.Recommend if you are in the Lampeter area & want a great Chinese takeaway.

Probably the worst Chinese meal I've ever sat down to eat.I can cook better myself, with mediocre kitchen ingredients and tools.Honestly, the chef needs to ask, "would I serve this to my mother?".Service was also awful, the young ladies did not know whose plate was whose, nor the content of the plate, nor even had the decency to not be wearing earphones while serving. Tut tut.The seaweed was kale with sugar and salt poured on it. The beer was warm and served in the wrong glass for the beverage.0 out of 10, for "the best Chinese in Lampeter"Sadface. It's a damned shame!

Cannot fault both the service and the food. Very pleasant staff and great food. Every item that we ordered we thoroughly enjoyed including light & crisp batter on the sweet & sour & the lemon chicken. Large prawns in prawn fried rice Fluffy rice ,fresh prawn crackers -all still lovely & hot by the time we got them home. I honestly have nothing negative to say.Had I read the previous reviews I may possibly have gone elsewhere -I am so glad that I didnt.

The only reason you are having 1 star is simply for the service. Our takeaway is lovely no faults with the food at all. The young girl who took our order over the phone was absolutely miserable, no specifications fully on where to stand. No one was in the restaurant for nearly 5 minutes and was very rude and miserable when I was greeted.
