We ate in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food was great. The portions were lovely and big. Curry sauce and also the biscoff brownie are a must!

Usually use this takeaway everytime we stay in New Quay but this time was very disappointing. Chips very dry and fish greasy. Not very pleasant at all

We normally love this place, but the waitress this time was sulky, sluggish, unfriendly, slow. She ignored us after we sat and spent 20 minutes with a breakfast menu. This was 19th May around 1130. She was really unfriendly and reluctant to serve us. She was so sluggish and miserable. In the end a lovely guy from the kitchen ran our food over to us and he was so much better than angry sluggish girl who served us.

Really disappointing! Chips were as dry as possible, almost certainly reheated or had been sat around a while. Wouldn't serve us a cup of tea at the end of our food (4pm) as they had started cleaning the machines even though they gave us no warning. Final insult, they disinfected the room around us as we were finishing our meal.

Was recommended to us, and while stated dog friendly, there was no water offered! Staff where nice and friendly the food wasn't as good as expected. We had booked a table for 6pm, and when we arrived they were out of chicken, beef dishes, I had the scallops which most were delicious but the last few I ate were sandy which spoiled the dish. Husband had a steak which he thought was quite small compared to other steak meals he has had. I had the lemon tart with sorbet. The sorbet was delicious the tart base was claggy and unpleasant so only ate the lemon top which was lovely.

Stopped here on a cycle event. Fabulous! Lovely staff and tasty fresh chips. Just the job!

The owners were very attentive and provided excellent service. They worked with their team of staff too. Nice to see them mucking in. All social distancing was taken seriously and full sanitising available. Excellent service. Food was perfect, huge portions too. We are only visiting from South Wales but we will be returning before we leave 😊

For my first fish and chips meal in Wales this was a great experience. The chips were cooked perfectly, some were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They weren't greasy either. The fish was great too. The batter was thin and crispy and the fish was cooked to perfection and was nice and flaky. The large battered cod was very large and was very thick so you'll get a large quantity of fish. The small portion is probably less than half of a large portion and is nowhere nearly as thick as a large portion. This establishment seemed quite busy around the lunch time service with both tourists and locals. There are toilets at this establishment and they seemed fairly clean with ample hand wash and toilet paper.Overall I would recommend a large portion of cod and chips from here. The fish portion in a small portion isn't substantial enough in my opinion.

Raw batter on the inside and undercooked/raw fish in the centre! Worst fish I have ever had. A total waste of £6.75 for fish and chips. The person trying needs to be re-trained!

Be warned this place has HUGE portions so you definitely get value for money!! It seems to be a family run business with a decent fish and chip shop menu. There is also a take away with ice creams too but after the fish and chips I had there was no chance!!
