Pasty Pasty in Ceredigion

Wonderful pasties. We only discovered them on our last day there but next time we're back we'll be making a beeline for them. I had the traditional pasty and my son had the chicken and chorizo. The pastry melts in the mouth. Can you open a shop in South Wales please?!

My wife and I went here regularly in the summer. The pasties are freshly made and excellent quality. Highly recommended.

They had sold out of vegan sausage rolls when I visited today, thankfully they had fresh batch just out of the oven. It was delicious and very well seasoned, much better than Greggs. I had planned to go back later to pick a couple of pasties for dinner, but they had closed for the day.

Unfortunately I can’t review the pasties themselves, hence the 2 stars, because they looked nice.The reason being we were sent to get food for everyone, and choosing the place with the smallest queue (no queue) we ended up here.The laws regarding face coverings are somewhat vague, and on the 7th August in Wales, hospitality venues are no longer required to enforce the rule, including cafes, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs. Shops, public transport, cinemas still require a face covering. This coffee and pasty shop I imagine would fall into the cafe category although is seemed to have been arranged into a more takeaway-like layout.On entry I was asked to wear a face covering by the staff, I obliged with my folded bandana, as I have all pandemic. It’s always been sufficient, reusable, and covers a large area of my face and stays in place.Then I was told it wasn’t sufficient and I would require a “face mask”, (possibly one of the flimsy blue things that break and end up hurting wildlife). When I didn’t have that I was asked to step outside of this open fronted shop and wait there for service.At this point it became clear that the lady behind the counter was antagonised about something, and she wished to express that, by being difficult to me. As someone who works in hospitality, and currently in tourist hospitality, I understand what it can be like at the end of a summer season. I was having a two day break, away from where I’m doing a season, about 90mins away from New Quay. I needed a breather.It isn’t for everyone, and it can be tiring dealing with difficult members of the public each day. But it’s important not to snap, and throw away custom. Or make people feel so uncomfortable they leave muttering swear words when they just wanted to get a bag of pasties.I hope your day, and summer improves.

Yummy spicy veg pasty and also a vegan sausage roll - tasty and with good amount of filling and lovely pastry!

Best sausage rolls ever (according to our boys!) and the traditional pasties were very tasty too!

Yummy pasties, very filling, reasonable price, cash only though so we did have to search for a cash point which we found at the ocean blue just up the road. Meat and vegetarian selection, so catered for my whole family. When we go back to New Quay I'm sure we will go back again 🙂

Had a couple pastys and sausage rolls here enjoyed them very tasty and not too pricey. Arrived at closing unfortunately but still had a nice warm order and warm friendly staff.

The pasties were amazing. Bigger than we expected. The owner was lovely and friendly. Been back 4 times. Did order some to take home

We enjoyed several of these gorgeous pasties on a recent stay at New Quay. My partner raved about the beef and stilton (he had 3!) I'm a vegetarian so I tried the vegetable (my favourite) and the cheese and tomato ones. They were both very tasty and nicely seasoned. The owners were really friendly and helpful and recommended places that we might like to visit. Your advice was much appreciated. Thank you. 🤗
