This is a lovely pub. After a long drive from Birmingham myself, my wife and my 6 month old son just wanted a drink and some home made grub (obv my son didn’t), this place delivered and some. Staff were brilliant and really friendly. Shame it’s not local to us because we’d be in there a lot.If your reading this guys, thanks for making us feel so welcome, see you around.Love, Joe, Em and baby Tom.

How lucky were we to find this gem of a pub!! Very friendly and welcoming, along with wonderful home cooked meals. My husband had beef, mushroom and horseradish casserole. So tasty and melted in your mouth. I went for homemade lasagne, delicious. We shared a bread and butter pudding for dessert, which again was wonderful. If we're in the area again we will definitely be back for more.

Friendly pub - good steak and even a well-prepared vegetarian option.

My third visit last night, this time with 2 friends. On all three occasions such a friendly welcoming place. We all thought the food was really good quality. Two of us had the fish pie - delicious! Can't remember what our other friend had but he said it was delicious too. Special mention of the young person who served us. I meant to ask her name. So warm and friendly and she even put up with my attempts to practise speaking Welsh! Will be back soon.

Off the tourist track however I would suggest tourists alter their routes to make time to visit here. The landlord is so welcoming. During the colder months there is always a fire burning adding to the ambiance. The food here is absolutely amazing. For the most part, it is all homemade and really delicious. We call in whenever we are in the area and are never disappointed.

Came across this little gem of a pub whilst out cycling, decided to try it out for Sunday lunch with the wife. Wasn’t disappointed, a friendlier pub would be hard to find, great locals, and staff. The roast dinner was excellent, with a lovely desert to follow, all at a very reasonable price. Definitely going back there, but will get someone else to drive so I can enjoy more of there Guinness.
